I haven't played the newest Burnout too much, only tried it for a couple of minutes back when I still had my crossbox tree-fiddy, but it didn't play much like the original Most Wanted. People usually compare it to the new one, or more appropriately, the other way around. I'm not sure if either games are good or not though, since I haven't played them much yet, but judging by the fact that the old MW lovers kinda despise of the new one, I'd say go for the old one instead, Steam or not.

You can find the old MW for free (if you know what i mean). i loved the first most wanted, and the new one (as you say) have nothing similar, i played both and i love both. i hate the fan boys who complains without giving good reasons (im not talking about you).
anyway

I always loved Burnout Paradise; a couple of years ago me and like 8 friends just hang around playing it on my pc, it is insanly fun, and the siglepayer is fun too, and the online community its pretty active!

I played one of the other Burnout but they are nothing like Paradise, paradise its "sandbox" (kind of like NFS: Underground 2), the others are pretty lineal

I've never been much for racing games, but Burnout Paradise was/is a great game. All the fun of racing around a city, with an emphasis on crashing! I also had a lot of fun playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, although its always been hard to find enough people of equal (lack) of skill.

Assetta Corsa, although it's early access. It's 50% off right now and looks promising.

I was about to say the same (my favorite game on Steam) but he says he like NFS arcade type of game so I guess he wouldn't like it. Arcade side I'd go for Sonic & All Star Racing Transformed when it's on sale for 5 bucks, get Grid Autosports or wait for The Crew.

For some reason all the traditional series have lost their sense of balance and I haven't found a modern title that yet matches the fun/customization of NFS Most Wanted (2005). Burnout Paradise came close, but there's little substance beneath the surface and the crashes aren't as fun as previous games in the series.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is ridiculously fun and more enjoyable than any "serious" racing title released in the past few years.
Edit: Little Racers STREET is also fun for what it is, can't believe there's no local co-op though

Thanks, but no thanks. It's way too much like a "Real Life Racing Simulator" for me xD

I have tried it but it's not really my cup of tea. When it comes to racing games I'm more into the more 'realistic' ones.

Direct linking to tpb, gutsy.
Is "gutsy" the word I'm looking for?

If dont bother with an arcade aproach, try this: FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage
Amazing game, with good graphics, great game modes, etc.
Dont worry about the prequels and the crappy sequel, Flatout 3, sadly... (BTW, i think its one of the worsts sequels ever made... the gap between then is so huge...)

It actually looks pretty good, I might check it out :)

GRID and GRID 3 are very good. (GRID 2 is a piece of crap.)
Note that the GRID online server were shut down by the company that hosted them, and Codemasters are too big of a money-grabbing company to provide new ones. So GRID won't work online anymore. GRID 3 works just fine.

It's been a while since I played a NFS game but I have like all of them which is:
ProStreet
Undercover
Hot Pursuit

people don't really like the colin mcrae rally because the advertising initially confused people and made them think it was a HD remake of the PS game colin mcrae rally 2.0*...its actually a mobile port
colin mcrae purists would probably scoff at it...whether its good for new people, i'm not sure
may or may not be a terrible paraphrase *

Grid 2 was sort of free in a way a while back. It's pretty good.
Burnout Paradise was in the bundle, and it's also good.
Next Car Game is being made by the people who made Flatout, so it should be good. I have not had any first hand experience with it yet.
And, my favorite, Trackmania, any kind, although Stadium and Nations (or United) seem to have the most players online at the moment.

I am looking for a good street racing game like NFS but I'm not sure which ones are good.
Which one would you recommend? I prefer ones that also have good graphics :)
