Can't buy 4 pack for game you already own?

So I wanted to buy a 4 pack of Forge to giveaway, but since I own it already it seems it won't let me buy it? All the buttons are greyed out, and I cannot even purchase as a gift. So, am I restricted to the single game purchase? It would seem strange that I can't buy the 4 pack.....

A 4-pack gives discount, letting you pay less for four copies than buying them individually. How does "they force me to spend less" make any sense? They're forcing you to pay more.

Well I will only buy 1 copy, instead of 4 copies for a higher price, so overall they will get less money from me...get it now?

Yes, but you're paying more per copy, whether you buy the 4 or not is up to you.

The four pack requires you to choose purchase for myself. So if you already have it, you cannot buy it as a four pack.

It's a real shame you can't. Only thing you can do is buy it for someone you trust who you want to have the game and have them give you back the other 3 copies.

But then I lose a copy on a fake account. I just wish I can buy 4 copies and put in inventory....o well..

You always lose 1 copy. You never get 4 giftable copies. 4 packs are usually priced as buy 3, get 1 free.

if youre a tf2 player, its a good investment if you like to idle. or you can just use the account to hold extra crates/junk.

Buy the 4 pack from your friends account ( If he is like school friend and etc. )

And just trade the other 3 copies from his account to your account :)

I'm upset that the 4-Pack which is designed to give you and three friends a discount on a game can't be used to mass purchase games. :(

Pretty much, minus the passive aggressive post.....that's like if I go to Safeway and they have 4 12-packs of coke for $5. But, if you bought coke in the last month, you have to pay $2 for one 12-pack....

Yeah but you still 'eat' a copy anyways....It would have been nice to be able to give away 4 copies.
