They are just trying to give you a free iPhone for your cake day. :P
But seriously, try running more scanners, plenty of antivirus companies offer free web scanners. Or upgrading MalwareBytes to free trial of the full version.
Edit: https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/adware-in-chrome-extensions/25668/ and they offer a 30 day free trial, could be worth trying.

Did you try with a fresh install of Firefox? Would help you locate if the issue is system-wide or located in the browser.

Try out ESET NOD32, get free trial, or use their free online scanner. I am using this av for almost 9 years now, I recommend it as one of the best, it never failed me, plus it is one of the av that very rarely has false positives and it works well with other programs, like malwarebytes, win defender.
Also try to scan in safe mode.
Change DNS to google or open dns, I once had popups and I couldn't find virus/malware...I tried everything but my pc was clean, last solution was to change DNS as searching for answers I found out it could be DNS poisoning and it was, once I changed DNS to google dns (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) I fixed my problem, that was long time ago, but ever since I had that problem I am using google DNS.
Other than that, reset browser to factory settings, reinstall it.
Good luck, also if you don't find solution/fix, checkout malwarebytes forums, they offer help there, they have good staff that will tell you what to do and they know how to read logs to find what is causing problem.

If you want some general purpose tools, try AdwCleaner, as suggested above.
It's specialized in removing adware and rootkits, and since a few years it's owned by Malwarebytes, so you know it's quality stuff.
If you need something more powerful that's still not a full-fledged antivirus, Hitman Pro can find a lot of shit through multiple cloud based antivirus engines.
For the most paranoid, it's even got a feature (early warning scoring) that tries to detect unknown malware by comparing a file's behaviour to known threats.
The scanner is free, the rest of its functions require a paid license or the usual free 30-day trial (which doesn't ask for a payment method, just an e-mail address).
Or just cut the problem at the root by changing browser (no doubts Google is involved), or by using uBlock Origin (especially if you have another adblocker, as they're owned by ad companies), or if you already use it, remove Steam Gifts from its whitelist, most of the ad providers look too shady to trust them.

You get such stuff mostly as addition to free programs or Toolbars. Did you installed something short before the problems appeared ?
Normaly your problem should lay in the internet/download temp folder and is adware.
Sort there with the date and look at the ones that fit from the date to the start of the problems.
All you find... "If you don't know it delete it" ... in 95% of the cases should your problem solved after that IF it doesn't have copies spreaded (as example in your startfolder).
So check, at least, your autostart and the windows start folders for it.

I feel like I've been rewriting Hosts and DNS for some malware and adware ...😅
I think of it right now ...
Does the same thing happen with other browsers?
Occur.
Enforce anti-virus and malware scanning with "full scan".
Also consider re-setup of the PC.
It does not occur.
It's a good idea to check your browser's add-on for anything suspicious.
Oh one more
Is the router firmware updated?
If the router is too old, the security update will not be performed and the behavior will be similar if hijacked.
Rebooting the router may cause a temporary recovery.
After that, let's update the firmware.
=͟͟͞͞( っ'Θ')╮ =͟͟͞͞🍰 so hard cake day!

Weird Malwarebytes won't find anything.
I'd suggest checking the installed programs in windows, if there is anything suspicious and just remove chrome and reinstall.
Also you should be able to click on one of those ads and clear on what you want to opt in and out for there, and just try to opt out of anything possible so maybe you wont get these kind of ads anymore.
Also this ransomware seems to exist since 2017.

I had trouble before on android
Now I use noscript on firefox
I allow only what I want to use.
It's really boring to use cause everything is desactivated and you have to activate item by item on each site
But once it's done you haben't to redo it on the site and I haven't any trouble anymore.
