Wow, that is a detailed evaluation. I want one too :)
About achihack: I don't know how it works but when I opened Kingdom: New Lands for the first time in steam I instantly gained around 10 achievements. It scared me at first but then I realized it uses same saves from GOG version. I think that is the cause.
Edit: Is there a way to remove achievements for a game so I can properly do them again?

Would love a chance at Reigns: Her majesty. :)
As for nice low P games, I won a couple here on steamgifts:
Irony Of Nightmare and would say it's nice for it's 1P. It's short (about 30min) but well made.
The Quarter Game another nice but short 1P game.
Sugar Box a beautiful little puzzle game for 2P.
Lines ∞ a numberlink puzzle for 1P.
Top Hat a 2d plattformer for 1P.
Melter Man a really neat puzzle game for 3P (though I've played it far too little...I need more hours in a day^^)

The Space Pilgim games (4 episodes, 1€ each) - it looks simple, but it's a point and click game in RPGmaker, story of some rebels against the Power / Empire / Idon'tRemember, with a nice dose of story and humour. It's not the best thing in the world, but it's criminally underrated because of it's superbundled state and being an RPGmaker game. It's a really cool one from the genre :)
Stray Cat Crossing is super amazing, it's a steal for 3€. About 5 hours worth of creepy story and puzzles, and a SIlent Hill-ish vibe to it.
LiEat (also available online for free, buy on Steam to support the developer!) - there are some alibi-level of combat to the game, but emphasis is on the story, characters, lies and forgiveness. Cool, memorable game.
Alicemare From same dev as LiEat, similarly available online. It's a nice game that borrows from Alice in Wonderland, though I really think that LiEat is superior
Any of the Hexcell, Squarecells, Crosscells games if you like your mineseeper on crack on a higher difficulty, these games are the bestest.
Logigun 5€butIdon'tcare one of the most underrated, unknown and best 2D puzzle( platformer) on Steam. It's like portal, just 2D and you have more variety with "guns". Was bundled only once, so it's very much under the radar.
Mechanika awesome-cute-badass elementary school heroine Nika wants to escape school so she can finish her robot MechaNika to destroy everything not cool in the world! Includes quite a lof of dark humour, really awesome :3
A Normal Lost Phone SJW propagandaaaaaaa at least cheaper than Gone Home.
Why Am I Dead At Sea another 5€ game to slide in under the doors. It's basically a point and click / walk around and talk type of a game, with very well developed characters, a murder to unfold (guess whose?) and many people to listen to ^^

I'd like a shot at Reigns: Her Majesty as well, if possible. Thanks!

I really want to see this checking system, but I do know already that I failed the last category :P

Haven't gotten around to buying this, but Flood of Light seems to be a fairly good 4p game. Another one that comes to mind is Downwell

I've heard that Calm Down, Stalin (4P) is pretty good.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is the Hello Charlotte series. They're delightful, surreal horror/adventure games that tackle friendship, mental health, and the concept of purity. They spawned some of my favourite characters in recent memory, too. Hello Charlotte's essentially what Omori promised it would be, all those years ago.
I love small, good quality games in general, so I know quite a few. Some other games from my wishlist or library:
Stranded (A lot of people don't like this one, but I did.)
Omegaland (From the writer of The Talos Principle and The Sea Will Claim Everything. There's more to it than meets the eye.)

I played Stranded and it was ok, but it suffers from randomness. You really don't know what to do most of the time. Nice art and setting though

I totally get the criticism that's levelled at Stranded. I personally found it really relaxing to play once I stopped expecting it to actually have something for me to do.

I've been considering making Hello Charlotte giveaways so more people can discover the games. I never would have found them if a column on Rock, Paper Shotgun hadn't praised the third entry.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm pretty sure Hello Charlotte doesn't have trading cards yet, actually! So they'd be wasting their time.
In general, I think making a public giveaway is best because more people can see the game and wishlist it if they want it. Even if the person who actually wins never plays it, everyone else gets the chance to find a game they might love.

You're right, I totally forgot about their lack of cards (it shows how much I actually care about this feature now). Your outlook is more positive than mine. It just pains me to see good games going to people who'll never play them rather than people who would love them :/

I went throught the games I have played:
Recommended (actually more like memorable games):
The Last Time (4P) a very enjoyable point and click game with a good story and pace
The Tale of Doris and the Dragon - Episode 1 (4P) same as the last time, good point and click. Lovely characters
Plug and play (3P) is an abstract game that gave me some laughs and a memorable experience.
Leaving Lyndow (4P) is a decent walking simulator
The Grandfather (1P) weird weird game. Memorable, but not sure if I should recommend this one :)
Morphopolis (4P) Beautiful point and click
Into The Gloom (3P) Simple yet disturbing and haunting horror game with an intriguing story
There are about dozen more that I have played. Mostly not memorable and not worth mentioning them

Yeah, that Grandfather game is something alright. I wouldn't even say that it is a pleasant experience and I think it's not suppose to be that. So if your looking for something different in style and emotions that a game provokes than this is a good one.
Yeah P&P seems to be an animated short and it was made into a game

El Matador is pretty bad and awfully broken, but i know what you mean, it feels like im playing a game, more than i can say about 90% of steam Direct/Greenlight titles.

Never heard of it, but yeah, it looks totally like a mobile game. xD

One Way Heroics (4P)
Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World (3P)
Helen's Mysterious Castle (2P)
Laser Lasso BALL (2P)
Ookibloks (2P)
Unium (2P)
THE VIDEOKID (4P)
Sponchies (1P)

And right after I post about Sponchies it goes free to play: https://steamcommunity.com/games/593670/announcements/detail/1648756010508329820

Before the devs added a bunch of smut on it, it was nothing more than a simple fun combat match-3 game with hilariously terrible translation (although it was funny seeing a game in the all-age section where one of the missions was beating up a bunch of monsters to get their semen for a potion; those lines were completely edited out in the first patch sadly). I would not really call it good, but it was fun enough for the price.

These are made with lots of love ^.^ and definitely not shovelware ö.ö

It's kind of sad to consider that most people immediately associate low price with shit quality. It means if a developer wants to be taken seriously, they have to sell their game at a price high enough that people won't immediately dismiss it as shovelware.
Of course, that isn't always the case - but typically, it is.

I can't entirely vouch for the quality of these games... but I do have them on my wishlist because the aesthetic and/or type of game looked appealing. Might be worthy as low P games...
Shark Dating Simulator XL - 1 P
Death pit 3000 - 4 P
Gothicc Breaker - 2 P
Leave Me Alone: A Trip to Hell - 2 P
Tarim: Guardians - 2 P
Paper Train Traffic - 2 P
The Reaction - 3 P
Cards of Cthulhu - 3 P
StopTime Drive - 3 P
Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus - 4 P
The Videokid - 4 P

Tales of Winds: Tomb of the Sol Empire 2P is a good game, but I can't really recommend buying this on Steam, since the translation is atrocious. If you know Japanese, you can get the game for free (legally) here. Yes, it's originally a free game in Japanese.
Super Hexagon 3P.
Open Sorcery 4P. The only reason I'd buy a bundle from Cubic Bundle.
NEKOPARA Vol. 0 3P. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I really like them too. The only thing I hate about them is the achievement spam and it's getting on my nerves so much that I dismissed the series from my recs. ;)
But you're right. The game itself is strangely addicting, simple and oh-so-relaxing.
Comment has been collapsed.
Definitely.
Same thing with the Lines series.
I really wish this achievement spam fad would die already. :(
Comment has been collapsed.
but i throw my thumbs down at the moment when i see how many of them have been spammed to the store
Actually, I'm constantly asking why they don't just make DLCs... The number of levels on each is not that big and the new mechanics on each installment don't really justify each being a whole new game.
Each game has letter achievements, with different fonts. So... yeah.

I play a lot of the 1-4 P games and like a ton of those... F.ex. from your list I think (both) Reigns are extremely good. There are some wonderful suggestions in this topic and I had to wishlist a few. ;)
When thinking of 1-4 P games, these great examples come to mind:
All in all, I think the 1-4 P category has some truly amazing games but they are indeed lost in the masses and masses of asset flips, achievements spam, botched ideas, buggy messes and other trash. I understand why many people seem to think that the 'good game cut-off' is 5P but it does a great disservice to many wonderful titles and devs who don't get the recognition they'd definitely deserve.

! You've beaten So Long Earth! I don't suppose you remember how do I get the third skeleton key? :B I'm guessing it's either on SS Warsong or SS Butterfly. Warsong has the three beacons to light, one across the shop, the robotic flying things on the way. I just can't get all three fast enough (I'm trying with fast suit -> icing the lowest robot, jumping on top of it with light suit and running with the fast suit across the shop -- is there a better way or am I just too slow in changing the suits?). SS Butterfly has the flaming skulls and the crate pile too high to jump -> I can't figure out how to get past that.
ETA: NVM, got another idea, my timing was off... Let's see if it works.
Overall SLE is great. <3 I know some people have complained about slow controls etc. but I haven't encountered anything too drastic. The atmosphere & general concept is just so charming! Polishing does good on all games and I think there are definitely some aspects that could be improved with SLE but for the price and everything it is (so far) amazing.
LYNE does indeed have the letter achievements but I don't mind that. They actually correspond with level packs, not just as spam and whatnot. It is a great game and I would think the mobile versions (Android/iOs) are definitely worth it as well.
I don't get the so-called quality control of Steam Direct. I think the name itself already implies it's pay to enter... Have they ever even turned down a game ?? Based on the trash available, I would think not.

Card City Nights is only 4P and that was good fun. 91%, bundled several times by now.
