These are the ones I received in the last 30 days aprox. I use aprox because some may be older, but I have ignored some already since this new batch. Also my time perception on this matter may be wrong :D

I'm not sure if I'm lucky cause I don't receive tens a day or I'm unlucky cause people normally don't receive them.

Or do you think I should swap the words lucky and unlucky??

Extra question: how is the order established? If you see the picture the last three invites are one on the middle, the first one and the last one. Seems pretty random the position.

PS: I'm not saying anyone did anything wrong, much less breaking rules; so I hope no one consider the picture as "calling out".

Should I accept all them and re-invite to you? I shouldn't be in more groups, 227 seems enough...
There is a limit?

I get invites once in a while. I try to limit the groups I'm a part of though because I want to be seen as a active member and not just another face in a crowd. 14 over a 30 day period seems excessive though. You popular person you :3

lately it's rare a week without 3-4 new invites, that's what impulsed me to create the thread. I'm curious if I'm on the average :D

A few each month. I tend to ignore most of them.

There was a time when I'd get a couple every few days, usually from some random Russian Counter Strike group. I'd just report both the user that invited me and the group itself in the hope that someone might stop them from spamming.

I haven't had any for a few months now though, so all is good.

Same here when I used to play CS:S. Always random invitations to random groups from random guys at random times.
However I did not get any unexpected invitation for more than two or three years now.

Hahaha I did the same, on that time, probably everyone was receiving invites from those groups with hundreds of thousands of users, I acted as you.

there's auto-groupinvite plugins for servers. they're not allowed, but it seems valve cant do much against them.

Nooooooo you may miss your next best friend, they love you so much that they want to share their 678 groups with you to be everywhere together, if you wait to Christmas they may even gift you the AAA titles that will be released then.

I'm aware of that :)
Admins really care to count each members invites and new members "referred"? It may be so much work that seems unrealistic.

They don't need to count. They can see how many people someone has invited using mod tools.

so someone cared to do such tools...
That's even worst :D

In 4 years in got maybe 5-6 invites from beggars and maybe 10 for groups. It is just the matter of how you present yourself

I haven't mentioned user adds, I'm much more restrictive now and let it clear on the profile.

Hmmm I don't think I asked anyone to be invited anywhere, maybe I should remove everyone that I trade with or I give or receive games from. Just seems so rude...that I only clean from time to time.

I've only had one in the last 6 months. From some squirrel group or something. I ignored and got a -rep written on my profile :) (which I have removed).

About once a week. I usually join, figuring that the invite came from someone trying to win something for inviting friends.

If the group in question starts spamming announcements then I'll leave again.

Around 1-3 per week. Igroring 90% of them. Lately it became worse, as much more groups started this stupid contest "Invite all your friends (150/200 minimum) to enter this awesome GA for 1key worth game!" -.-

About two or three a month, on average. Though some of them are unexpected invites to decent groups.

And I get a shitload of 'em from people. I block all private profiles, and check out the rest. If they're legit and play multiplayer games that I'm currently into, I'll add 'em. Especially if the look like they're both skilled and a team player.

OK if there's someone that also let some there for no one knows how much time, then I'm not mad, true? :)

BTW noticed that ignored just remove it from the list, so if you go to one of those groups you can still you still see as Invited and who invited you, and join (in theory) or maybe it's the public ones??

I never get any. I actively sought out the only one I'm in. I'm happy with that one but I'd love to join a group with an emphasis on more non-bundle GAs. If anyone knows of one recruiting let me know. I'm trying to step up my game, man.

When I was more active on SG I occasionally got invited to giveaway groups out of the blue. I think I got invited to 3 non-SG-related groups out of the blue during my years on Steam. (These days I'm rarely on Steam and haven't received any invites recently.)
