Look good?
Looks incredible. A small team of of talented devs should make it more focused & impactful. Hopefully Bandai Namco lets them do their thing.

I don't think what you say is true. I think there is many places all over the internet where Witcher fans explained the problem.
Let's also be honest - while normal people were playing Stellar Blade the weak and pathetic people were crying all over the internet about that protagonist being too sexy. This shows us that people don't have problem with woman as a protagonist and we saw it since the first Tomb Raider or probably even before that.

Sequel to a trilogy is quite different than a standalone game in terms of expectations, and you can look up quite a few crying posts around The Witcher 4 announcement who cried about Ciri being "ugly" and not pretty enough.
And let's not forget that one of the situations where woman protagonists are accepted if they are fuckable pretty enough. Tomb Raider was literally changed to a woman to have a pretty ass to look at while you play
There is a very local group crying about Silent Hill 2 characters not being sexy enough, "bearded" Aloy, "trans" characters in The Last of Us 2 because muscles belong to men, not petite enough Lara Croft in the animated series, and a few others. There are "weak and pathetic" people behind quite a few opinion's more radical side.

I think the biggest problem is that Ciri had space and time bending powers and now they just made her yet another Witcher just with boobs. There was so much that they could do with a space and time bending character like her in that world.
"And let's not forget that one of the situations where woman protagonists are accepted if they are fuckable pretty enough."
Well no one wants to play as ugly men or women. Like you would not want to play a game as an obese neckbeard in flip flops wearing a fedora now would you?
"Tomb Raider was literally changed to a woman to have a pretty ass to look at while you play"
Nice. Didn't know that. Looks like it turned out to be great decision by the developers.
I agree that there are weak and pathetic people on both sides as they both are radical and have many similarities despite hating each others.

They really hate a woman as a protagonist, huh?
Pretty sad that there is some truth in that - but it was not the context I meant it here - rather that it was the director of W3 that is running development of this title.
Edit - at least that's what I assumed those saying it meant, and didn't consider the misogynist possibility, but do remember some people ranting because female protagonist, along with some kick back as Zarddin mentions. Me - I'm more hyped for W4 than this - but will keep a close eye on this one too - looks interesting!

I think most of us are creating our own hype based on the fact that there are members (and the director of W3) involved. We've only seen a cinematic trailer for W4 (as far as I'm aware), and the hype is real. Could all fall flat on this title when we know more, however!

Where is the gameplay exactly? This trailer is mostly a CGI movie, probably made by a specialized team that has nothing to do with the creation of the game itself. Aside from the movie, there’s barely 20 seconds of short animations taken from the game, and they show almost nothing of the actual gameplay. From what I’ve seen, it’s not even clear what type of game this is - it might even have the same gameplay as Assassin’s Creed at this point.

I'm not saying this against you, I know this title comes from them. And the fact that it's misleading and that the little part of gameplay in this trailer doesn't actually show anything relevant is a bad omen in my opinion. I think everyone should avoid getting hyped for this game until some real gameplay is shown.

Gameplay footage without showing me the ui elements? They also look like moments where you're stuck in animation where you're not actually doing anything, like the first one is literally an animation of sitting on a building and the camera looking over a town and the your eyes glowing white(what kinda gameplay footage is that), sliding down a building with a screen shake mechanic(big deal lmao), the beginning of a fight(animation where the boss parries you and you get to engage after), and some sort of in combat teleportation animation that's likely automatic(kinda like the fightning in batman games, otherwise not even sure what the point of showing it is if this is a prerendered cinematic) and the last shot which is clearly an in game camera animation where you got no control of the char, once again, and the shot itself is lackluster, the cloth mechanics on those rags is missing, the scenery looks good but basic and it's hard to see what you're even looking at other than a bunch of rocks. Adding some color wouldn't be bad.
Visually the cgi trailer looks good, but the witcher style is there, so I hope they don't just copy the fighting style, I hope he has some new ideas on his own. Still alpha footage, we'll see where it goes. More importantly it comes from a guy that got kicked from CDPR for being a bully, so I think that puts in question the treatment of his employees.
TLDR: The "& gameplay teaser" was bait, should've been called "& gameplay cinematic".

Not defending the guy, and certainly am cautious over the allegations, however technically he was found not guilty in the investigation, but resigned anyway. As they say though - no smoke without fire.
"Tomaszkiewicz wrote in an email to CD Projekt Red's staff that despite being cleared, "a lot of people are feeling fear, stress, or discomfort when working with me." He left with an apology "for all the bad blood" he caused, and said he planned to work to change his behavior."
