Complete the sentence: Playing my wins is ...
STAR WARS™: Knights of the Old Republic™ - I can find a replacement, since it takes around 30 hours to complete the main story according to HowLongToBeat, but I heard that it's truly a great RPG, so I picked it anyway :P
Darksiders - it takes around 17,5 hours for the main story and I wanted to add some action to the list ;)
Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart - I played it lately and it has a great atmosphere to it, so I think you should give it a try. 3,5 hours for the main story.
Nihilumbra - there was an RPG, a HOG so let's finish with a platformer :) 2,5 hours for the main story.
It doesn't have to be you, but I'd appreciate someone picking three games for me.
I have only one unplayed SteamGifts win, so feel free to pick something from The rest of my games. It would be nice if it wasn't anything from my ABC Plan but it's not a requirement :)

Please don't pick sequels to games I haven't finished yet.

I wanna participate. :)
My BLAEO Backlogs
I've played all my Steamgift wins, but I'll just include them here so you can verify.
Please no sequel games if I haven't finished the prequels. Also, pls pick something that you would want to play yourself or you have played and enjoyed. Thank you!
EDIT: Congrats on level 10, LastM! :D

Portal - HLTB: 3 hours
The Stanley Parable - HLTB: 1½ hour
Transistor - HLTB: 6 hours

Okay, so I finished Portal (and loved it, especially that cheeky ending song). I'm going to play the rest after, but do you know how to get an invitation to the GAs?
Comment has been collapsed.
Done with The Stanley Parable as well. It was frustrating to find that one of the endings can be had by... er... so easily. Especially when I tried hard.

Progress update:
Armello - beaten/Cheevos - good game, but kinda hard for me. I suck at strategies which are havily based on random
Maize - beaten/screenshots - excellent quest. Vladdy is the best
TIS-100 - well, it seems I ain't smart enough for it...

Sad sad backlogg
Will add escollo’s in a bit, busy rn sorry.

9clues is only about 2.5h
Monochroma about 4h
Ryse about 6.5h
At least one of them should be possible in a month!? :D

Congrats on (soon) reaching LVL 10!
I already picked games for FameTaker. I'd appreciate someone picking three games for me.

BioShock Remastered
Dishonored
The Walking Dead
Those can't be left unplayed (though I haven't started The Walking Dead either x.x)!
I don't know if it's just playing or completing..because if the latter my picks are probably waaay too many hours (all of them each ~12h for mainstory alone) to to that... ;/
In that case change any of them to To the Moon...that's a must "play" (if you really can call it that) too but only about 4h :O
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you! Let me just make a chart for easier track-keeping :3
Game | Progress | Status |
---|---|---|
The Walking Dead | Achievements | completed |
BioShock Remastered | Achievements | unfinished |
To the Moon | Achievements | completed |
If it turns out I won't manage to finish everything on time I'll probably change "Dishonored" for "To the Moon" as it looks like this one is the most time-consuming :)
A quick edit for EinAnderer on 11.11.2017 as I can't really reply in an already-closed thread:
Hey, I just came to thank you again for choosing those games :)
I first finished "The Walking Dead" and if you still haven't started it I highly recommend it. It has amazing atmosphere and the story is just great - it has many surprising plot twists and some choices are really rough.
Then I started "BioShock Remastered" and got quite hooked up on the plot but I turned out to be one of those unfortunate people who encounter bugs and glitches every few minutes and at some point I just gave up. I managed to get to around 1/4 of the main story and I don't really regret starting it. I may not know how it ends but at least when someone mentions "BioShock" in the conversation I can reply with someting more than "eeeee.... water? And those guys in diving suits?" ;)
Then I swapped "Dishonored" for "To the Moon" as 1) There wasn't that much time left on this challenge, 2) I really wanted to play it for quite some time now but somehow never could bring myself to start it, always saving it for later, and 3) Freebird Games is releasing second episode of the series; "Finding Paradise" in the span of next two months. I'm not sure if you played it or not, but it's just gorgeous. I loved "A Bird Story" and thought that it was the ultimate example of a good narrative, but "To the Moon" is just a masterpiece.
All in all these were great choices and I had loads of fun playing them (even "BioShock", despite the glitches) so thank you and I hope to see you in other similar events! ^>^

Gonna pick your games now, one moment please... :-)

Right then. You're steam profile is private... so I can't see if you've played these already or not. You may need to make your profile public to be part of this game, I guess.
I think you should play these three:
SteamWorld Heist - because I also won it too and need to try it someday. You can let me know what I'm missing out on to encourage me to play it soon too.
Hospital Tycoon - I want to know if it's actually any good or just a poor effort at copying the classic Theme Hospital. Hope it'll be fun!
Shadows of War - simply because you won it in a small giveaway, with only 20 entrees. I'd like to think it was a game you wanted to play.
Bladestar - never heard of it before, give it a go! :-)

Played Shadow of War a couple of weeks ago already for ~2h and yeah I really wanted to play it. It looked nice, but in the end it's just a "spam your units to win" game coupled with bugs. :(
But the other two are already installed since I won them...just haven't gotten to them xD
Profile is public now (haven't thought about it that it's needed) so you could pick a replacement for 3rd (for a couple hours at least - or until you answered^^)
Edit: And you'll definitely get an update about how those two games are^^

Alrighty, updated with a different game. Cheers and good luck!

Curious here: Doesn't it show any playtime? Started it just yesterday for a couple hours, though probably still got a long way to go to finish it and thus could surely continue with it :D

SteamWorld Heist definitely deserves it's "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating...
It's a turn based strategic actiongame/shooter without permadeath like in XCOM.
It's soundtrack is really catchy and immersive and it's artstyle is pretty colorful.
The story is nothing really special, but it does it's job and got some jokes in it. (Also the collectible hats and their flavourtexts got nice/funny references to a lot of other stuff eg. mario bros).
You got a crew of up to 9 members (with 5? different classes) and have to choose 1-4 for each mission and a loadout of a weapon, 2 utility items and a fancy hat.
This coupled with randomly generated levels keeps it interesting and gives you a lot of options on how to do a mission.
I enjoyed the whole playthrough and had nothing really to complain about that dampened my mood ;)

Bladestar was a pretty decent and fun Shoot 'Em Up game, but with no special features that made it really stand out.
Hospital Tycoon on the other hand....
The different diseases are funny and well made, the building of the hospital itself is pretty cool too and the feature about different personalities and interaction between staffmembers is a nice idea.
The "story" of the game is pretty mediocre (why even have a story and not just more different hospitals with different startingconditions?) and the humour isn't that good either but I guess it's ok.
But it falls flat in the management part...because that really is a chore with the complicated menus, bad management of hiring/firing staff and sometimes stupid AI (where patients just won't go where they need to go - even with doctors in the required rooms - and then just die).
On top of this the hospital never actually feels crowded because I never had more than 20 patients in my hospital..which means in bigger hospitals there were always more employees than customers/patients oO
This really made me want to search for my CD and install Theme Hospital again :O

-EDIT- (accidentally did a bunch of spoiler tags)
So does anyone just suggest the games for anyone?
If so:
Blades of Time -9hrs
Call of Duty BO II Single Player -7hrs
Drakensang: The River of Time -32hrs
Since Drakensang is pretty long, If you don't want to do it then I would suggest:
Shadow of Mordor -16hrs
-OR-
Shadow of Mordor + Shadow Puppeteer -5hrs
Those are times based on HLTB so if you beat it in less time then that is OK obviously haha.

I'll give it a whirl. Not sure if I will be able to complete them but I will sure try! Been slowly going through my backlog for a looooong time now. I have a huge one.

I'll pick for you
Grow Home
Tales from the borderlands
Westerado: Double Barreled

I'm game! I don't have any unplayed wins apart from Rise of balloons which I won this month and I'm currently playing. So rather pick from my unplayed list on BLAEO:
http://www.backlog-assassins.net/users/Formidolosus/games/never-played
No Multiplayer games is my only request.

I'll choose Danmaku Unlimited 2 ;)

Thank you for your pick but Zlia was one minute faster ;)

So it happens. You should still play them sometime, though, they're all quality.

Eventually I play all of my SG wins. Also I know that Salt and Sanctuary & The Basement Collection are REALLY good so I couldn't skip them ;)

Also, if you read the rules, you should only pick someone's game if you are participating as well. And, if you are, you pick one, for the person right over your application post. ^_~

Hmmm, I could try but I'm not sure if I can beat (aka, 100%) 3 games in such a limited time frame. And when I look through my unplayed wins a lot of them seem to be multiplayer games that are even more time-consuming to beat... :/
I guess I'm gonna just link my wins page and give a list of the non-multiplayer-heavy wins I still have left so the next person doesn't need to check so many games. ^_^'
Games I haven't played (enough in some cases) yet:
DarkEnd
AR-K
I am Bread
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Beat Hazard
Two Worlds II
Ion Assault
Frozen Synapse
Hitman: Blood Money
Torchlight
Indie Gala 4 (aka, the stuff listed here)
Sanctum 1 and 2
Also stuff that I need to get back to and finish:
L.A. Noire
The Bard's Tale
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Ouch.... there are a lot more stuff than I initially though. I really suck... T.T

Ok, I guess I should skip that bump, and pick something for you... Oh, no Abzu? Stuff for older computers? Let us see...
Cheers!

Progress:
THOTH: Main game complete
-Short, but keeps you on your toes. Pretty fun!
Kero Blaster: Normal Mode complete
-The level and lives system can be annoying coming off of Cave Story, but Kero Blaster is an equally solid and well-designed, if smaller, game. Hard mode has different levels and story, so I plan to keep going!

All right, I think I am done with 2 out of 3 games from GreenGreen's selection, namely, Scribblenauts Unmasked and The Lego Movie! That was fun, thanks for organizing this!
Cheers!

Ok, though this will be a very busy month, let me try to join you in the fun!
So here is my BLAEO profile. Please pick stuff which is not too long for this month, I will be away from home a lot of the time.
Cheers!

I'm sitting at $4,966.64 Real CV, which means that I'm reeeeally close to lvl 10! According to my calculations, I should reach it with the GAs in this thread, so let's celebrate! 🎈😀🎉
And what a better way to celebrate then by playing our wins and winning even more games! :D
This is how it's gonna work:
https://www.steamgifts.com/user/XxXxX/giveaways/won - You may also set some rules, like: no multiplayer/EA games, shorter games only, positive-rated games only...
T1 - TESO
T2 - Of Kings and Men + Cuphead
EDIT: I've decided to change the rules a little bit. It occured to me that 3 games in 1 month might be too difficult for some people. Therefore, instead of playing all 3 games to participate, all you gotta do now is pick 2 out of 3 to take part in the Cuphead GA!
If you don't wanna play with us, here's a GA, so you can, at least, still celebrate with us!
You have a month to play the games! (Gas end on 11/11) Game on!
Don't forget to reply to me when you're done or else you won't receive a link to the GA!
Ps: Don't forget that October is also a play a game you won on Steamgifts month!
