PSA: While enjoying these great deals, let's put our consumerism habits to good use! Please don't forget to take into account the Charity that you are donating 10% of your purchase to. There are hundreds of good charities to support, and although I don't know the dynamics/reputation of all of them, I've heard good things about Charity Water, Doctors Without Borders, and with the ongoing refugee crisis, another choice would be CARE International UK and Save the Children UK. BTW, none of the regular sites would know this, but Jurassic Park has been bundled before. It was in the MacHeist 4 bundle back in 2012, which was primarily an OS X applications bundle, that also included Steam keys for Jurassic Park and some other games.

If you only want a couple of the games, add the $0.99 games to your order anyway to get 5 games. It will actually be CHEAPER than just buying 3 games.

Game of Thrones + Tales from the Borderlands + Puzzle Agent = $11.99

Game of Thrones + Tales from the Borderlands + Puzzle Agent + Poker Night + Poker Night 2 = $10.49

So bad that I am only interested in Puzzle Agent games :/ Adding Poker Night 1 and 2 makes them more expensive

Really wanted to buy the following stuff: Walking Dead Season 1 & 2 + 400 Days and Poker Night 1 & 2 (for the Tf2 items).

I could pay 5 keys for that bundle if anyone interested in trading.

You should put your trade offer in the trade section then... that's where it should be not here.

well this sucks... not your chart, your chart was helpful.. but humble. Seems they want to be like the big boys and do regional pricing, except they ding me in USD's anyway.. so I've got the same higher New Zealand price of $36 for game of thrones.. except its in the much stronger USD instead of my own currency. Shitbag move, humble... either charge me NZ prices in NZD or us prices in USD...

All the non-bundle* games:

GoT + Wolf + WD:2 + TftB + Jurassic = $20.24

Normal retail price for same: $134.95

*Still not "bundled" because 85% isn't a steep enough discount!

I just wanted GoT + Wolf + Tales from the Borderlands. I had to add Puzzle Agent 2 and Night at the inventory 2, because that makes the bundle cheaper and didn't have all those 5 games on Steam yet.

I'm so tempted to buy this bundle but I know for a fact they'll end up bundling some of these in a couple months...

If it does get bundled, it will only be via Humble. And more than likely, it would have a top tier of around $15, maybe $20. And it's unlikely that the really big games, GoT especially, are going to get bundled at all or in any way that's cheap. So, I don't see a Humble Telltale Bundle 2 beating this deal by that much. Telltale has been very careful about bundling their games, only doing one Humble bundle back in 2013 and a MacHeist bundle in 2012. This is not a company that is going to give everything away in a standard bundle.

I would just do it if I were you. I bought GoT and WD 400 days (plus 3 fillers) for about 7,50 (can't remember exactly). Good chance that a bundle will be close or more expensive then that. There is a good chance (I think) that this is the best deal you'll find for these in a while.

Couldn't get into Game of Thrones on TV and have yet to play any Borderlands game. For people who have played either, is it still possible I'd like these games?

I generally enjoy Telltale's other offerings. Jurassic Park had way too many quick time events but was still ok, and everything else I've tried I'd give a positive rating to.

I've not played much of Borderlands either but, knowing Tellyale you'll almost definitely enjoy them. Their episodic games are brilliant IMHO, though I've only played TWD, TWAU & BTTF so far...oh, I've also played Poker Night 2 and thoroughly enjoyed that as well

I just started playing GoT (I'm almost done with episode 1) and so far it is really interesting. I'm not sure if you'll enjoy it if you didn't enjoy the tv series, as it has a lot of references (obviously) to it. But the story seems to be apart for the main part.

I got a steamkey and telltalekey for every game. Can i gift the telltalekey to a friend or is this an extra key i have to enter when playing on Steam?

Permalink

You don't need the telltalekey, you can give it away. The telltalekey can be redeemed on the telltale website.
Zo heb ik het toch gelezen, ondertussen weet je het al zeker?

Has anyone tried activating both the Steam and the Telltale key for a given game? Why are there 2? Are they totally independent of each other, or does activating one burn the other one?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They are two separate platforms. One key is for the Steam client, and one key you activate through Telltale Games here, which I assume will give you a DRM-free version?

If anybody could confirm...

Permalink

Yeah, that's what I thought but I don't have any experience with Telltale games so I was hoping someone would confirm. Thanks for your reply though!

Uh oh, so SickTeddyBear says that the telltale keys aren't for a DRM free option >< I wasn't aware of that!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The Telltale versions of the games are not DRM-free. They require that you have an active Telltale Games account, and of course, you also need the codes for them to activate. DRM-free means no need for activation keys or account registrations or anything external to run a game. There are DRM-free versions of some Telltale games on GOG, but that is not what you get via the Humble deal.

Is there somewhere on the Humble site where I can see how long is left on this deal? I'm on my phone and having a lot of trouble finding any kind of countdown on there...I asked a similar question AND got an answer on the other thread but I only saw the answer an hour or so ago so sadly is not much help now :-(

hey! so right now it's at 1 day, 14 hours, and 39 minutes, which, according to my calculations, ends 10AM Pacific Time on Monday.

I'm using my mobile phone and what I do is I click on the picture of the game. on the bottom left hand corner, you'll see a star, and right next to it on the right, a count-down timer.

If you want the Walking Dead games, Game of Thrones, and Tales from the Borderlands, purchase the bundle WITHOUT the 400 Days DLC and buy this separately.
Reasoning:
Cart Example 1: Game of Thrones + Tales from the Borderlands + The Wolf Among Us + Walking Dead + 400 Days + Walking Dead Season 2 = $22.73 total
Cart Example 2: Game of Thrones + Tales from the Borderlands + The Wolf Among Us + Walking Dead + Walking Dead Season 2 = $20.73 total
TLDR: Cart 2 (without TWD DLC) is $2 cheaper

That's a bit unclear imo. Cart 1 is 6 games, not 5. For some reason if you add more than 5 games, the surplus is counted without any discount at all, thus you should split your purchases. If you want just the Walking Dead games, Game of Thrones, and Tales from the Borderlands you should just purchase all those in one order. If you also want The Wolf Among Us, you should purchase the cheapest game (in this case 400 Days) separately.

hmm I think that is where the Reddit user was trying to get at ... to purchase the DLC separately because it would be more expensive to add it to the cart as a 6th game instead of purchasing it in another batch.

I apologize by the lack of clarity though :/ Although I didn't write this up, I should have looked into it more before I copy and pasted his suggestions.
