I support Na'Vi but I think Alliance will take it. The way their squad is playing this year looks good

I don't understand how Dota 2 is P2W game since the only items you can buy are cosmetics and don't impact the gameplay ?

TF2 can be cosidered slightly P2W as you may buy items that function differently from the stock items, but Dota 2, the items you can buy are all cosmetics, which have no effect on gameplay.

I'm pretty confident that Alliance wont take it. In china they mostly used pocket strats vs every opponent, it wont work like this in TI, because theirs too many competitors. Good thing i'm a student and can watch almost all games even though i live in europe :D

Are the contestants as rude as normal DOTA 2 players?
If so, this sounds like riveting viewing :D

Cant wait. The only other game I've ever enjoyed watching competitively was pre-1.6 Counter-Strike. But really the only reason I enjoyed watching pros play that game was because I enjoyed playing it.
Dota 2 on the other hand actually works as a spectator sport. The first time I had watched the game being played was for The International 1, and the truth is I was only watching it because it was a new Valve game. I was pretty sure I wouldnt be interested in playing the game.
But holy cow, the movement, the audio, the visuals, it all comes together to make a fantastic viewing experience. I was hooked just from watching that 1 tournament. And now that I've played 1400+ hours of Dota 2 the spectator part is even more incredible. The talent and precision that these top level players are able to play with stands out to anybody who's played Dota 2 for more than 10 hours. And the many different gameplay mechanisms allow for a level of creativity in gameplay that no other videogame can match. Many good multiplayer games can have it's brief moments where you see creativity of the player shine through, but nothing comes close to what Dota 2 allows players to do. At the top level you constantly see gameplay transcend into art because the games depth and the openness of its mechanics allows the players to do that.

Yeah a good spectator game ;) Althought the game can be too long :(

The event is starting in a few days, and here ia few question for you:
Will you be following the event ?
Who do you support ?
Who will win the tournament ?
For my part I won't be able to follow the event since it will be during night time in Europe :( Damn Pacific Time.
Mb I'll watch some game through twitch.
I don't support anyone but rather beautiful plays ;)
Alliance mb ?
EDIT: It seems I may be weird to be interested in such an event ;) I don't watch e-sport at all but it's like the football/soccer World Cup, I don't watch football but I watch this event ;)
