That one, and every other multiplayer-only game with a dead community. Including Awesomenauts.

Awesomenauts is dead because the network connection on the game is shit. They could have gone far with the game.

Yea Aces of Spades has dead community, but gameplay is pretty good.

9.03M is a good game support charity! only $2. 15 mins gameplay...I never ask more

Command and conquer 4
Close second for me is actually Dayz stand alone. Got it when it first came onto steam. Was nothing more than a buggy walking simulator. I know alot of people like it but just feels like there are better games out there of that theme that aren't empty shells with outdated game engines.

DayZ wasn't worth it imo. The mod as it stands is way better.

Shadowgrounds: Survivor - Compability issues,
DayZ - Devs didn't do what I thought they would,
7 Days to die - Didn't like it that much, price to high

i have no regrets with my steam games since the worst ones are from bundles.
outside steam i regret buying cold fear and cryostasis

i've played it before and its a decent game, so i bought it on GMG, unfortunately it doesn't even launch.

I have the same issue with a King's Quest anthology... never worked... why release an older title(s) as if they are now going to be playable on your current rig... but not actually make them playable on a current system... that was definitely a waste.

Finally i regret buying something on steam, Gauntlet...cool game, 3 hours of gameplay WOW, would buy again

Dayz and Starbound, the devs abandoned it and even if not, considering the amount of money they earned by early access they're doing an awful job ( think about how there are still no freakin cars....)

Makes me sad have bought DayZ too.. Arma III would be better, at least I would play.

Starbound is getting a HUGE update, and as someone who's playing the Unstable version of that update, I can tell you it's a huge improvement (I do recommend playing it with people)

Dude, like pinguin said, Starbound has not been abandoned. Its really coming along, and after this update, you could consider it a fully released game.

its a game u don't want to get even for free. Even with the cost of 0$ it feels like i've paid to much for it.

Yup. Me neither. I really enjoyed Oblivion but I just can't get myself to play Skyrim.

My personal problem is that it's way too easy, and doesn't let you specialize nearly as much. Using wrong words mind you, but what I mean is that I don't like how enchanting and spellmaking and stuff were gutted. Oblivion feels like the high point of the franchise to me.
Comment has been collapsed.
Lol, that's not the game's problem that you can't find stuff without a big arrow pointing to it.

I shouldn't need to mod the game to enjoy it though. Morrowind I don't have a lot of mods installed on, and even Oblivion is pretty lightly modded, mostly just the Unofficial Patch and a spellmaker limit raiser thingy. Skyrim, though, I didn't enjoy even with mods. It felt clunky and wrong.

Every single one. I only play F2P games now, why do I have so many games...

WarZ, this game is so bad that they had to change name to Infested: survival stories :D

I've bought Football Manager 2014 in June. Played tutorial, so far so good. Downloaded 1GB of HD logos, still looks good. Started a season and was forced to watch my first match as a GM. 1:5 from an amateur club. I... wasn't prepared for this T_T Never played it since. And that's, ladies and gentlemen, how the worst 7€ purchase in the history of humankind went.

i know that a lot of you will hate me for this but... i regret every Bioware game purchased.
I got the Mass Effect Trilogy and Dragon Age Origins... didn't liked any of those games, wasn't what i expected.
Also i got Wanderlust from a HumbleBundle and it was terrible.

Never cared for Dragon Age Origins as well. My account shows 21 mins of gameing. Never installed it again and it will rot in my account.

hm tbh i think origins is quite overrated, its decent game but not really great, was quite buggy as well. I feel in general all bioware games that i have played have a lot of bugs, and nowadays its just not even worth trying any of their newer games. Wanderlust is such a turd, i was looking forward to playing it since the idea seemed really nice, but after trying it with friends ended very dissapointed, so much wasted potential, and it was way too short.

Since this Steam Holiday Sale isn't the most interesting, how about a thread of the worst decisions you've made purchasing games in your time on Steam.
I'll start. Purchasing 3 copies of Afterfall Insanity 2 days before it was given out for free. >.<
