It's an interesting game. I've got close to 13 hours on it and it's definitely not bad, considering it's still in beta. No where near as bad as Infestation: Survivor Stories was. Not even close. The only thing I dislike about it is it doesn't have a "group" function. So , as big as the map is, it may take a few minutes to find your friends on it. Other than that its good. Bugs here and there, but that's to be expected. The true test is when it get's officially released and reviewed. Can't say I regret buying it though! Hope this helps!

I got over 20 hours on the game and its amazing.. the feel you get once youre fully geared and you just want to head to an outpost without getting seen or shot at its awesome hahahaha this game is definetely worth $30 and I like how the developers are actually listening to the community and how they keep improving the game and I know this for some people isnt important but this game on highest settings and 60 fps looks amazing

It's like in movies, when the protagonist gets bullied or laughed at by characters that never reappear in the whole movie.

I was literally going to make a thread similar at to this. There are a ton of early access zombie games that came out that it's hard to decide which to get. From what I've read and looked at it seems like almost everyone loves Project Zomboid ($15) so I would highly suggest that. I'm personally going to buy it in the next week or so. Nether is the one I know least about. I've heard the graphics are amazing which is the big pro. But a com I've heard of is thy apparently in the city almost all the buildings are a similar layout and people say it gets boring and receptive. Of course all of these early access games are going to improve but I wanted to offer some food for thought.
7 days to die looks like it could be promising in the future, so I'm not even going to bother with that right now. An ten there's Rust. I've seen videos and have been following it a bit. It's crafting system is unparalleled and I believe it's creator is the same person who made Garry's mod so he had a good track record. The biggest problem is the PvP. It's a really big issue and it's making a lot of people reconsider purchasing, including myself. I hope this helps put all these early access games into perspective!

It's good, the loot is like impossible to find but still, It's alpha. I think the game is good. It feel's better than infestation but on this current state of the nether i would say infestation has better gameplay. Nether is great in it's alpha stage though,

I finally got into the beta the other day and.... Meh. It feels like dayz meets stalker, the only comparison I can come up with. Didn't help that my expectations where higher than what they should've been, no thanks to seeing so many people saying how "amazing" and "awesome" the game is even in beta. I couldn't get any vendors(?) to actually work, and even on a server with 60(ish) players, there were too many "hot spots"(my name for it), places filled with the mutants(or w/e they're called) and I'd get swarmed, with just my kitchen knife. Honestly it does have good potential, but I'll wait to play more when they up the players per server or reduce the map size to fit 64 players comfortably. Also, I ran into around 20 different people, they all killed me after staring at me for a moment or two. Most of which would say I provoked them. I had a kitchen knife they had guns, go figure. But I suppose I can't complain about that, it IS after all a survival game. And I suppose I can't comment on those hot spots either since I didn't plan out accordingly. But they were kind of random spots where I'd see none, then all of a sudden I'm swarmed by 10 creatures.

To be honest like 100% I felt ripped off. I cannot find the difference form Warz gameplay and this. Don't get me wrong this game is around 200% more polished and not even a mirco percentage as buggy as the Warz. IT is overpriced (I'm sorry any indie with micro-transactions at 29.99 in beta. . . no way). I feel violated I listened to people who informed me it was nothing like the WarZ. That being said if Bandit gameplay in Dayz was your thing then yes this is your game. . . Just honestly not mine.
Though I will point out is is in Beta and thus my opinion against it is flawed for it is not the finished product and thus saying this I do understand that it may get to be a great game, in its current state I cannot say it is a great game, nor can I say i do not see a direct parallel for this game and Warz: same micro-transactions, interface, gameplay.

never said it was. but it is true the two have much the same. I didn't condemn the game though it is 100%, right now the same game just better graphics and not Zombies. Oh and the map is more generic then Warz's was. Though yes they are not made by the same devs. Though you'd be blind if you didn't notice how much the same they are.
You have to admit the 3 body part, safe Zone, idea of how spawns work and the way one loots are the exact same. I looked up that they were different devs after being corrected here. . . Bought the game, installed it played it for a while . .. only to re look up and make sure it wasn't the same guys. Because I honestly was shocked they are really different devs. . . Honestly. Look up my steam account I do not lie. Though it is in Beta and is way more polished doesn't mean the gameplay is any different hold down E to loot, kill things/ people, loot all drops in the same way. Also every building in the game( right now is pretty much the same and pretty dull. I only pray when they make the map bigger they make it varied.

Fuck zombie pigmen, that's what I think about the Nether.

It looks like WarZ 2.0 for some reason, and probably is.

AS a WarZ Pre-Orderer, I am into these kind of games and wanted to give Nether a shot too. I got a guest pass for 72 hours.
The problems began. Half the forum was unable to play, because upon logging in with the launcher it would tell them that they need to sync their account with their steam account, which people already did, but the launcher wouldn't get it.
"support" didn't answer while your playtime was running out . Reading through the forums I noticed a shit ton of similarities regarding bugs, production quality and support.
I would strongly advise not buying it, since it's made by the guys who made WarZ (I don't remember the whole story but it was something about a new publisher with the same devs or something) and it seems to be just the same kind of money ripoff scam game.

as hard as it is to believe it isn't made by the WarZ people. An article was published making the link but the fool had based it on LLC. . . not understanding LLC is like INC. . . they published a retraction and then deleted the article (which is why you cannot find it to cite).

Did you know that this game is being funded by Infestation Survivor Story developers. I read that somewhere, don't have the link though.

the article was a lie read two comments above.
the retraction: Edit: Okay, sorry. Looks like the guy listed there is the TM lawyer, not the actual developer. But he just happens to "coincidentally" represent the developer of multiple crap games. So, yeah. I'm not normally one to poison the well, but don't buy this.

Was just browsing through Steam and saw the game "Nether". I Was interested to know if anyone had the game & what they thought of it? I was intrigued by the format of Survival in a PvP Massive Multiplayer - RPG Simulation world. Sounds good to me. But is it?
