What's up with the free game The Ship spam giveaways?

So the ship was for free for a while again. Cool, a free game. So here is my question. There are a LOT of people that get more then 1 key. Basically these guys steal the oppertunity for other people to get the game. Then they put it as a giveaway. I was wondering what your angle is... what's the point. You take the chance away for others to get the game... but then you give the game away yourself. Are you pretending to be a nice person or something even though you are technically a dick? Do you like the annoying free game spam of a game most people won't be interested in? What the hell is it? Someone please explain this to me...

If the value hasn't been updated on steamgifts yet then yes, you still get CV for them. But it might be that you'll loose that CV later anyway, when the value is updated :P

but The Ship was on a bundle list for a long long time already ;)

I guess it's rather because each key spawns 2 gift copies and you have to do something with these ;p

Okay this is now a the ship giveaway thread.
Everyone who has a spare copy andy wants to give it to someone, make a post, the first one who replies gets it.

To participate, i have a spare free gun monkeys in my inventory. first one who replies gets it. (I cant promise it, the other day i didnt have enough days on my steam account to be able to trade but if i have enough days on it now the first one gets it)

Yeah, I get what you mean. Even though they get extra copies buy activating it, it's still very silly to spam it around Steamgifts.

For example: I gave it to 2 of my friends directly. I saw people on SteamTrades, who try to sell it for 1 TF 2 key or more. They are pathetic. They got it for free, and now they try to make profit from it.

It's their choice what to do with their spare keys, whether they give it to someone else or try to sell them for a key. if anything that's a smart thing to do.

Some might call it smart. many other call it idiotic and unetical. Making money of something the coder gave you for free. It's wrong in every way and very disrespectful.

I gave away a copy of The Ship and I don't consider me as a dick.
I had no choice, get three copies (one for your account, two gifts) or get nothing.
I don't need the other gifts so I gave them away to make others happy who weren't fast enough.
