2017 World Snooker Championship

Yes, yet another prediction event. :)

How it works

Predict the winner of each match. Obviously you can't predict the winner of the second round before the first round has finished and so on; you'll have to return a few times. The five people with the most correct predictions will be entered into a special winner's event after all my prediction events end.

Leave your predictions on the giveaway for that specific match. Entries close when the match starts.

Championship Preview

I'm a huge snooker fan but I'm a bit late with this event (to say the least). No real preview, sorry. I used to enter prediction events for all snooker tournaments in the season and usually sucked at them; I got second place once (which is a lot higher than my best result in the Dutch Student Snooker Championship, lol).

I am really looking forward to two weeks of snooker with the BBC commentary team. Here's hoping we'll get to see lots of cracking snooker!

Fu v Brecel - what a thrilling match it was! I keep my fingers crossed for Murphy, Bingham and Neil Robertson (as always), but now I will be totally fine if Fu gets the trophy.
By the way, I can't wait for O'Sullivan v Murphy.

Yeah, that was quite something; amazing come back after such a poor first session. I've always been a fan of Marcus, I hope he'll go far this year.

I can't wait for Ronnie's next press interview. ;)

It's possible but at this point I find it hard to predict anything.

First of all, Hawkins must pull himself together (that black cue foul from yesterday's session was as hilarious as worrying).

It's all clear now - John Higgins will face Mark Selby in the final match. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

A real shame John collapsed today; the final could have gone so much closer.

Still a nice final though.
