I have tried playing CS:GO and Battlefield 4 in Windows 8.1 lately and its just impossible, it is croppy as hell and sometimes it doesn't react to the mouse and keyboad until like 1~3 seconds later. I used to play on Windows 7 and had no problems at all, I only just started using a new PC that came with Windows 8.1 preinstalled, does anyone know of a solution to this? I have tried other things like compatibility mode and things like taht and doesn't seem to work.
My PC specs are

Install this:

  • Intel drivers (from website)
  • Directx

Lower resolution (try to play in the lowest graphical settings) to be safe it's not about performance problem.

But the videocard is integrated too, intel HD 4000 and I can play csgo in 720p @ 30 fps without too much lag, so..

Yep, it isn't windows 8 that is the issue, it is the lack of dedicated graphics (especially for BF4) and most likely too high of settings on CS:GO, though I don't have too much experience with that title.

I think i would affect bf4 but in CSGo I have the graphics pretty low but will try to lower them to the minimum, thanks :)

You PC is not for games, is for multimedia and documents, buy yourself a GPU and problem solved. If you used previously a PC with Win 7, it had dedicated GPU then. Win 8 has nothing to do here, your problem is you don't have a dedicated GPU.

Even a GTX 750 would be great for you, seeing how much you know about PCs. It cost just 110€, also, how much your PC cost to you?
