Mine was Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms, a F2P game that was the best FPS ever made! It was really an amazing and entertaining experience. I spent hundreds of hours on that game, until Ubisoft got greedy and introduced OP p2w weapons. So you get an idea, there were machineguns with the precision of a sniper. It became terrible so quickly... What a waste...

I quit World of Warcraft 1 week before Mists of Pandaria came out thus I had time to play other stuff again --> Borderlands 2 came out at that time --> My start on steam :)

The original Audiosurf. I had resisted Steam for quite a while, even though I had fans badgering me to join, then Audiosurf came out and I stumbled across a video of somebody playing it, and it was Steam only; soon, Steam sales followed, and the rest is history ....

League of Legends in the wintersale 2009 because they sold the digital collectors edition (or whatever it was called) for 15€ instead of 30€ and it included 20 champs, 1-3 skins, a couple runes and 10€ ingame-money and I was playing the game anyway.^^
