I love that we can hide giveaways of games we're not interested in, but I'd like to have the option to hide individual giveaways, when I'm interested in the game otherwise, but I don't want to see that specific giveaway for some other reason. Maybe it's a fake giveaway that hasn't been removed yet, maybe it's region restricted, but it's only mentioned in the description so it still shows up for me, or maybe the person giving away the game is my eternal rival who I don't want to have anything to do with. The reason doesn't really matter, I'd just like to have the option to hide specific giveaways if I so desire.

+1000 Would be really nice to have such an option. Other scenarios I can think of:

  • Package giveaways that you are not allowed to enter because you own too many games from it and the creator specifies that they want to give it away for people who don't own many games from the package (same can apply for DLCs)
  • Group giveaways that you are not allowed to enter for some reason (maybe your ratio is currently bad)

But yeah, the biggest case for me is the region restricted one. A lot of times, especially with Humble Bundle giveaways, there is a vast number of giveaways that are mentioned as region restricted in the description, which is quite annoying. Using ESGST helps, but doesn't change the fact that this should be implemented in the website.

Don't find this feature absolutely necessary but I could use it to hide specific GAs for games I wouldn't play just yet, but in future may want want to win. Could keep GA feed almost empty. Plus for blocking possible Unlucky 7 GAs "only for unluckies" etc.

Also I completely understand users who would want to hide GAs where gifter or group rule asks gift to be played, and user knows in advance that they will not; not wanting in the same time to completely block gifter(s) or hide the game.

However this would require on server side to keep kind of list similar to "entered giveaways", with probably clearing out ended GAs. And this is a lot of extra work.
There could be used special script running locally, but this would not help if user accesses SG from several devices.
