T-Mobile is upping their game. They'll even pay any transfer fees to get you over as a customer, and they're working on a no-contract package while increasing their speeds and services. If you want a company that's trying to make customers happy, go with them.

T-mobile is even better if you buy a Google Nexus 5 directly from google play unlocked. That way YOU own the phone, not T-mobile, not google, you. I also remember reading a comment somewhere that some people actually threatened to leave Verizon because they don't have that phone.

I suggest Ting. It uses sprints network, and it has a better than pay-as-you-go price structure. Me and my GF can both have phones and share mins/txts/data and still cost less than if ONE of us used stupid Verizon.
Ting Wireless. One step ahead of T-Mobile I tell ya.

As someone who visits the U.S once in a while, I never quite understood why carriers/telcos are able to make their phones sim-locked. It is illegal in my country(Singapore) and possibly many others.
P.S My aunt works for Verizon Wireless. She helps to test their "apps" aka bloatware.

Verizon amazed to shock me in the past days. They gave false information about my phone, proceeded to have an "unexpected error" when I backed their customer service into a corner and the next referred me to their phoneline, and on top of it all they took my old phone and screwed up again so that I can't get a new line until tomorrow AND my number will be changed. Life was just doing fantastic. I was texting the girl of my dreams, having a good 'ole day, and Verizon ruined it. Their customer service was aweful and they screwed up what they already screwed up like 1293032935648172348712 times. So this is my venting post of an angry frustration at Verizon. I HATE THAT COMPANY
