Even you play through Steam the game still required Uplay. I think you should pirate the game cause it will annoying you so much. Ubisoft doesn't deserve our support. Cause they think they can make us use their fucking DRM and think it's good. If you say it's not good for developer , ubisoft pay for them. Your money go directly to Ubisoft not the delopver. That's my opinion. :D

A DRM is hated not because its a DRM, but because it sucks balls.
Steam is a DRM which does almost everything right, doesn't ruin the experience and is kind-of a one-stop shop for almost every (publisher's) game out there (except EA).
And it is also controlled by a company which is trusted by gamers because of their respect towards us PC gamers.
Also, PC gaming wont be where it is now if it wasn't for Steam.

Origin installs whats called a rootkit, its essentially a worm that controls your computer, they have access to your computer allowing them to add or remove at anytime, and the EULA you agree to gives them the permission, plus a mandatory arbitration clause. Steam verifies through a bot system that runs in your operating system, it essentially checks your not stealing the steam game, huge difference. Steam gives discount, sales, promotions, greenlight, etc., including supporting Linux as the future of gaming, as Windows 8 not only is a terrible operating system but is also like a Nazi telling you what to do, how to do it, and microsoft is the one stop shop for everything, essentially its like running something the Chinese government would give their (cough) prisoners, I mean citizens. DRM isn't bad unless it targets the user, not the theif, currently Steam is the only windows digital distribution company than does it morally/ethically right. EA switch to Origin so they could earn more money, and control their users. That being said, when you explored all options, protests boycotts etc., and a company no longer gives the individual the respect of privacy/rights etc, can you commit theft against the company that stole your rights, just so others understand where Ogtoma might be coming from. The question being, "Where is the line, when is enough, enough?"

You shut your mouth, you don't deserve to play games. And if the devs don't get money, how do you explain Ubisoft continuing to publish games?

It won't use Steamworks, it'll just be a Steam overlay. 99.95% sure it'll be through uPlay, with or without Steam.

You do not have the choice of not using Uplay. You will have to use it even if you get the steam version. How it worked for Farcry 3, Blood Dragon, Heroes of Might and Magic 5, ect. Though it really is not too bad so far. To me at least. Would I rather it just use steam and no other DRM? Yes.. but that is how Ubi is... ( Of course, no drm would be even better.. but lol )
Funny thing, when I got my copy of Farcry 3 it was on a big sale on a different web site, thought perhaps I could activate it on steam.. nope.. it only worked on Uplay. Still works regardless.. and I would have had to use Uplay even if I got it on steam.

Im planning on preordering the vigilante edition of Watch Dogs for PC, and I was wondering if it is going to be like like Trials Evolution, which launches UPlay through Steam, or whether it won't use Steam at all.
