Your Country is...
Shit I didn't know things were as bad in Turkey... hopefully either the people will unite or a new leader will rise, we're kinda in deep shit doing little to nothing in my home country, it's sad since most of us have lost faith in our corrupt politics and law enforcers (police and military) while at the same time crime, gangs and cartels thrive. We keep going the best way we can but still... I don't know for how long tbh.

at least he's an elected president (kinda). here we are at the third unelected president council ( = ue puppet), but noone cares. renzi says "shish", minister boschi has her legs uncovered, gay people can merry too, and everyone's happy. even those who looks for food in rubbish bins, they are happier than anyone.
erdogan's a piece of shit. he threatened the entire europe about letting in thousands of migrants in exchange of entering in the ue. surprisingly noone wants turkey there, so he just changed his coat with a russian one. this "paradigm shift" is extremely dangerous as turkey even if it's relationship with the west is now crap, it's still a nato country. i would prepare for the worst if i were in you... :(
(thanks for the train)
besides, i highly suggest you to read aldous huxley's "brave new world". it's a different kind of distopia compared to the one depitched in 1984, much more devius. imo a must read.
"As the political and economic freedom diminishes, sexual freedom tends to grow in compensation. And the dictator will be well aware to encourage that freedom. Adding to the right to dream under the influence of the drug, cinema, radio, it will help to reconcile them with slavery which is their fate. "

It's scary how Erdogan took all the power around him after the coup. Now any oposition to him is being considered as "gullenist" or "terrorist".

Your country is also named after a delicious bird in English. So, you've got that going for you.

I know you are joking but its the other way around

Wikipedia fails to mention one of the more promenient theories, which is that upon discovering Turkey, an as yet unnamed geopolitical hinterland, early cartographers were quick to notice that Turkey resembles a steaming plate of the delicious roasted bird.

I hear you. I live in Russia, so I know a thing or two about dictatorship, corruption, systematic violations of civil rights and so on, our countries have a lot in common, the vector is basically the same - yet the situation in Turkey seems considerably more scary, I can't help thinking about the 30's Germany (just with religious taste) when I read news from your country. It does make sense to immigrate if you've got an opportunity.

Just the Communists like you hate living in Turkey.

Sounds very oppressed. And there is nothing anyone will do. Even western countries have oppression in other ways. But they way "nicer". Slavery still exists in many forms for all but the very rich.
Still living is greater in EU compared to many other countries. So should be glad for that. However should always strike for better and less corrupt world regardless. Hope things will get better for you. Although for change to happen someone needs to pay for it in big way.

I really feel bad for you , no one chooses where to born or to live(unless you have money to live elsewhere). Turkey isn't at it's best but almost every country had to fight against something to achieve a better situation , it's not easy but even a little help can contribute , like spreading your thought to people you trust , to prevent any risk of being chased, so more people can see the bad situation and react.
probably everything I said is obvious to you but never give up. seeing your situation made me think and stop complaining about my life , brazil isn't the best country but it has it's problems.
good luck comrade
