Hey guys :>
I am thinking to buy CS:GO.
What do you think ? Is it worth the price ?
PS: I DIDN'T PLAY THE BETA!!!

Statement: it's still technically in beta. I don't play enough fps' to make a real argument for anything here, but maybe wait until it's officially released before doing any kind of judgement.

Yes, countless hours with css and cs1.6

cs:go will be worth it as well...

Well okay some people aren't the biggest fans of the cs series.

Try source first.

Cmon man.. Look at the game.. now back to the price.. now back to the game.. now back to the price

Obviously it's worth your money.

Firstly I must say, if you're one of these kids that like COD please don't even bother trying CS:GO because you'll start whining on how its crapper than COD blablabla but if you are not one of those COD kids then go ahead if you're a real gamer you'll enjoy it it will have great community of players and Valve will fix the hacking easily if it goes viral not like COD who can't even fix the hackers on MW2 and still keep on releasing MW3 and Black ops 2

Also, if you're one of those cool gamers that were born in 1990's and grew up playing SEGA, NES or other and don't give a flying duck about the graphics then obviously buy it, but if you care about the graphics like most people do nowadays go play better games because it's not going to surprise you. CS:GO is meant to be for the older and real gamers who don't care about the graphics because most graphics on new games are mostly over the top, that's just what I think

But also if you're not going to buy CS:GO think about getting the new Medal of Honor game, it looks sick.

It's a difficult game that goes much beyond pointing and shooting, while that mechanic is still there. The new graphics and sounds left plenty of veterans of the series annoyed because that's how changes affect people after they've been used to something. It's a pretty enjoyable experience, though the core gameplay can be frustrating if you don't know how to play, as you die once and you're out of the match until the next round. Some of the new weapons (like most other weapons in the game) are basically a challenge to yourself rather than a window for new playstyles.

The game is focused a lot around artificial recoil so you will not hit something precisely until you stand still to shoot/use burst control, however you still might hit something. CS:GO was built around the original 1.6 (that's what I've heard) so the aiming is not as easy as it is on CS:Source. Ends up people who play CS:Source will stick to CS:Source and people who play 1.6 will still stick to 1.6, because they're already used to those games, however this might be wrong.

All that said, I doubt the game will sell a lot as it seems to please nobody. It's a pretty frustrating game if you're not focused enough and thus that will keep a lot of people out of it. The new artstyle seems to have the modern setting in mind, I personally don't mind it. I had a lot of fun with the game while it was in its initial closed beta phase mainly because all the weapons were pretty much "broken" (read: barely any artificial recoil) and you could annihilate the entire opposing team with the shittiest sniper in the game if you had the skill (kind of like CS:Source before they patched the aiming mechanics) and do flying 360's with a shotgun and still get a kill from all the way down a corridor. The new grenades add some variety and possibilities into games, though they're not easy to use as they're more tactical. The possibility to play the game with a game-pad has been added and it's very funny but people seem to take it very seriously when you have fun in a game such as Counter-Strike.

TL;DR Fun, difficult game. Worth the price if you're looking for a challenge, not really worth it if you're a CS Veteran as it adds very little and aesthetically differs a lot from the older games.

It's basically just remake for the consoles. It will suck on console, most new console players will find the game-play outdated and I'm guessing it will suck for PC because there is no point buying it for slightly improved graphics and nothing new.

If you are new player....I say don't listen to other opinions regarding classics vs modern gameplay mechanics. If you like FPS just go for it. You'll enjoy it much without knowing how classic gameplay is.

Besides CS:GO is not CS:S with improved graphics...

At a time when there's so many different and good options as far as games. It's pretty average. It certainly is priced right though. I expect it to be similar to the beta. A ton of hype at first which died down rather quick.

Unless you yearn for the game or have played previous versions and found it's your heroin then I would say "No, it is not worth it".

Why, cookies always come in handy. You can eat them at work, in your bed, while watching TV! And they always taste delicious.

I had not played CS since 1.5, maybe it was 1.3? Which is the last one before steam became a must? (This gif is from around the same time and it was made for a reason. http://i.imgur.com/GKaoJ.gif Not super safe for work by the way.) So you are probably around my age?

Anyway, I like cs:go better. The people seem alright too from the little I have seen, besides the people whining about source or 1.6 being better (not talking about this thread since the people in here have explicitly been asked to state an opinion.) But I should hope they stop playing soon enough :D.

The weapons feel about as unrealistic as I remember (about the same level of aim as a shaky 5 year old.) But overall an enjoyable game to play and well worth the 12 euro I paid for it.

I didn't liked it at all...

i reecived the beta and i played it about half an hour and quited

this game has become ugly

too many spots that you can be killed on..

The ct is much stronger (in tactical terms) and u can't play like in cs:s or 1.6..

the enemy can come to you from all of the environment (360 deegres)..you cant look to one space,

there, all the game type are between gungame and bomb defusal and none of them are more then 12-13 minuts without changing team or maps by the game itself...

of course that if you liked it you can buy iy...i'ts up to ya
