I'm so sad guys, because of my own stupidity I killed my keyboard. My weapon was this. I tried to resurrect it (opened it and broke my fingers) - but no sign of life. RIP keyboard Nov. 2015 - 2017.
shit happens and it's monday 😐
Maybe I could clean it with water and dry it for a few days but I dunno. I'm using my old one for now. 👀
Hope you have a better monday 🍀 h-8-6-V-N

EDIT:

See, this is why I keep extra keyboards around the house!

Of course, I don't use $120 keyboards, so if I kill one it really isn't that big of a deal...

Hope you can find a new one soon!

For basic keyboards, I put them in the dishwasher. Have for years. They need to dry for a day or two, but I've never had a problem.

Oh noes! I can relate so much! I killed mine with a nice full cup of coffee also, with milk and sugar of course!
The thing is it actually still works - BUT - since it's a mechanical keyboard about half of the keys are stuck now. A rubber dome keyboard would have been a lot easier to clean out but wouldn't have been worth the effort on the other hand.
Ah well, I ended up buying a new (used) mechanical keyboard on ebay...
I still have that other one somewhere on the attic and one day will go and fix it! maybe hopefully

That's bad. Mechanical keyboards are both essential and expensive :/

Had Coca-Cola spilled on mine, luckily only the Volume adjustment wheel stopped working (one of the non mechanical keys on the keyboard). Asked Corsair to repair it and they sent me a new keyboard. I obviously never stated I spilled anything on it ^^
From now on, I never place any liquids directly on my desk. I have multiple shelves around it on which I place them. Hope this will be a lesson to you :D

Try alcohol not water. It drys fully without damaging so much. And lots of q-tips. Good luck.

No Gaming Laptop motherboard with soldered CPU & GPU attached to your keyboard in Power ON modus while the incident had occurred?

Lucky You! ;)

Been there, done that. Poured (accidentally, of course) ginger ale over my keyboard once. Had to throw it out after.

I spit coffee on my keyboard laughing last week. Or it might have been the week before.

Have to take it apart, clean it and put it back together. Sucked. I'm starting to learn you can't have coffee around keyboards.

Or computers for that matter. I actually spilled some in my brand new desktop and had to take it apart too. Had to replace the GPU and power supply. That was the beginning of this year. :/

so guys, thank you all for your replies rhymes
a little update from me, I have "showered" my complete keyboard two days ago, only a few key have been missing. I didn't touch it til yesterday evening. And what can I say, I have plugged it in, and holy meow, a sign of life! The smaller keys on top and the volume-wheel feel a bit weird "sticky", but everything is working so far, as I can say now. Does anybody know about secondary failures in a few months because of this? When I think of phones for example, they may work for a few weeks/months but then suddenly stop .
I have even read that people put their keyboards into the dishwasher... mkay... 🙀👀

I spilled coffee on a keyboard once. After taking it apart and washing it in the sink, it went on to live for several years before the spacebar broke. I spilled beer on a different keyboard and after washing it, there was one or two keys that wouldn't work, so it had to be replaced.

The old I am liquid but I am safe because I am careful....

It never works as some day when your not looking that drink will jump ship and use your keyboard as there ocean!

P.S. cups with lids are super cheap so why do people not use them when near stuff like this??There is no way I would allow any liquid to get near my Corsair Strafe not when it cost 100+ to replace.
