Hello and welcome to the madness!
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in two months.

The prize: 2x Red Dead Redemption
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.

Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.

Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

FAQ:

Why you doing this?

I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over nine years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.

I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?

No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.

Can I play a MP only game?

No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.

If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?

No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.

Why six games?

The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.

How long are you going to do this?

Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.

This event "ends" on February 4th when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the day after. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.

Good luck, have fun and stay safe.
Thanks for reading, and go enjoy the wilderness.

Note:
I'll be on vacation over the Christmas season until mid-January and I won't be available during this time. If you have any questions about a game's eligibility, please ask about it now so that I can give you adequate time to play/repick.

And some thoughts.

A Guidebook Of Babel. It was really good and unusual with key feature of butterfly effect. It also was really confusing, but the game has some helpfull "anti-frustration features" like whole hint minigame. Story, characters and humor were great too.

Boxes: Lost Fragments. Just a puzzle game like The Room series. I even was surprised that it was from different developers.

Catherine Classic. Ok, it was a rollercoaster. Sometimes it was great, sometimes I hated it. The story was intriguing, but some scenes caused straight-up facepalm and cringe. The main character balanced on the edge of being pathetic or interesting, but I think it was intentional. And the ending was, to put it mildly, unexpected. But yeah, the story is really awesome.
The gameplay is not so much. I like the idea behind the puzzles, but they are kinda unexpectedly difficult. After reading the reviews, I found out that even the Japanese complained about the difficulty being too high. Luckily, there are guides. In the end, I liked this game.

Diluvian Ultra. This one sucked. The design made my eyes bleed, combat is crap and the story is just dull and unfinished. I would accept it as ok boomer-shooter if I didn't play it right after Prodeus.

Prodeus. This one was an awesome boomer-shooter. Despite it was a direct copy-paste from Doom/Quake it's still great. They just added some modern features into old formula. The story is dull and unfinished too, but that's not a problem here.

SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator. It was a good indie game. I was surprised it had an actual story. And there were no requirements for the paintings here, so I just drew cats all the time.

Sadly was busy and couldn't really participate...
But as usual if you have missed I have an excel spreadsheet and website dedicated to this event with list of every choice/monthly game and if you can do it and hltb also etc.. (work-in progress obviously but already hltb for 690 games and "can do?" for 321 games and most with what is needed and why not) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xBd5rltp8WxQSnG2BVKPzr7quTLJCvCt2MaGCxzs-d8/edit?usp=sharing and choiceevent.xyz
