I won a GTA giveaway a week ago and i did not receive the gift.
The contributor of the giveaway has been on steamgifts a few times since my win but he did not send me the gift. I even added him on steam for a week now but he made his account private and didnt accept.
i marked the gift as not received. Question is will I get my gift or what?

  • Mark as unreceived.
  • Continue with life as normal.

Why would you get the game? Who do you expect to give it to you if the gifter didn't? Do you believe this site buys games for everyone if they don't deliver?

but i want the game really badly and looking at my entries to win ratio.. its a rare thing that I win. So it's not fair to finally beat the odds like that and not get anything.

I understand your frustration but it happens, people sometimes don't understand how the site works. Keep entering giveaways, you'll eventually win.

My first non received win was a Saints Row IV pre order I won with 3020 entries. Crap happens. Deal with it. You have gotten more out of this site than you have given (two freebies and attempts at giving away free betas have been your only gifts).

Except the whole point of the site is it's user-made giveaways. If the person doing the giveaway doesn't deliver, I get it, that sucks, but you're not guaranteed the prize just because. You might as well say it's not fair to not win at all when you enter into a load if giveaways.
Anyway, it's not like you lose anything by not getting it. You're no worse off than before the giveaway.

look at it from diffrent perspective, you won twice as much as you given away, whatever happens with this GA you can still consider yourself really lucky ;)

Don't call him a scammer, that's against the rules. Like I said, he might simply not have understood how the site worked. He didn't scam anyone.

While I get that we're not supposed to call people scammers, we're not dealing with a terribly difficult concept, here; you start a giveaway, somebody wins, you give them the game. It's pretty straightforward.

I agree, what you're saying is part of the guidelines and rules.

So is "be considerate of all users at all times", "do not call out users in the forum" and "don't trade, sell, resubmit, or give away games you win".

Those are not terribly difficult concepts either.
