I got a heads up from ITAD that one of the Star Wars games was 99% off (https://isthereanydeal.com/game/starwarsempireatwargoldpack/info/) and I was able to access the GamesRepublic.com page ONCE, but then I started getting gateway errors, even when trying connections from multiple ISPs.
Then I noticed ITAD showed the Star Wars Collection at near-free as well by GamesRepublic.com: https://isthereanydeal.com/game/starwarscollection/info/
Are other people able to access GamesRepublic? Is ITAD screwing this up?

Price bug for everything on the site. Maybe they revoked keys, but the site is down for while.

I think they have a real bad price glitch. I also got a mail from ITAD, saying that "XCOM2 - War of the Chosen is" 100% off (or € 0.12), along with a bunch of others on my waitlist. The problem could be with ITAD, but it's much more likely that something with the prices is wrong on GamesRepublic, because the site is basically offline, either by people hammering the site trying to get to those deals, or because they took it down until they sorted out the problem.

It is not ITAD it is GamesRepublic problem. Everything in their store is 0.12 euros they have a price bug.

As I said: it's much more likely that the problem is on the side of Gamesrepublic. Without being able to access their site and verify it, there's a small chance that it's ITAD reporting those prices incorrectly.

I agree with you - There is an ever so small chance that ITAD reported prices incorrectly causing notifications to all its users (like me who got an email) regarding every game GR offers, resulting in GR getting hugged to death via too much ITAD driven traffic.

I got a price alert that Fallout 4 was like 19 cents or something... What a pity I couldn't access the site :P
This is actually not the first time they had such a accident. Weird...
I think they once closed down their site because of serious problems that were caused exactly by the same price bugs in the past. Not 100% sure though.

I also remember that last time they had some serious price glitch, the keys were revoked afterwards, so you probably would just waste your time even if you could access the site and buy something.

yup, this was what made them fail originally..... sucks to read " such a shame i couldn't exploit something that could lead to their bankruptcy" but i'd be lying if i didn't try to exploit their site aswell lmao

Was that a year ago? When I did a reddit search about GR, I saw a post regarding them being back up.

around 2 years ago they failed but they got bought by another owner or something and so they're back up. Hopefully to stay after this

After seeing other replies, I am now 99% sure, just like the % ITAD is reporting ;)

That could ruin them if they don't get on top of it very quick.

If a lot of people have managed to buy keys at silly prices and then activate them ,well ,gamesrepublic will have a bit of a nightmare on their hands.

Can remember when Civilization VI Deluxe Edition was listed for a stupid price shortly after release on a store, they shut down shortly after that.

I think it was US$18. Then a Ubi Store had almost all the store glitched, FIFA 18 Deluxe Edition (or whatever name) was around US$20, and it was just released.

Saw a notification that Bayonetta was $0.14, knew it had to be too good to be true, haha. Oh well.

OMG GamesRepublic must've had a sitewide pricing error. I guess that's one way of getting free publicity assuming their site comes back online, LOL. I mean there's a very minuscule chance that ITAD got it wrong, but they would've had to screw things up hardcore.

Also received an alert email from gg.deals 5 hours earlier, and even then, the site was inaccessible

And it's over ... site is back for me. With normal prices, like 17% off for stuff on sale.

Can confirm, and all is back to normal in ITAD. So I'll close the thread.
