I only got 1,2,3,5 and 6 on my first go. Hopefully the (maybe) hints will help.

I recognized 1, 2, 4 and 8. I'm certain I heard 9 before, but I can't remember where's it from. And 3 seems awfully familiar :P

Two of them are vaguely familiar, and I dunno about the rest.

I got 3 instantly. It's one of my favourite games. And 5 was just classic. So is this over? 2 was pretty easy.

Okay, clue #3 help me get 7.

More clues for 7, 8, and 9 since people seem to be stuck on those.

7 - The newest entry in the franchise has quite the controversy surrounding it. The previous game to that was also not well-received, furthering my disdain for societies.

8 - A generic shooter? Way to be irrational! It's clearly an RPG.

9 - A game that's often been copied or remade (only 1 was official) since its release, with a number of cancelled projects as well. In fact another unofficial indie remake/spiritual successor is in the works, release date: unknown.

OK initially I was like music stuff, not really my area of expertise to put it mildly. But after I saw update with hints decided to give another go.
