I've worked every day since I can remember. Full time job, part time job, side business.
The last vacation I had was in 2001. So yeah, I feel your pain. ;)

Full-time carpenter/contractor, part time security at concerts/events at a local arena, and build custom PCs when I'm not doing either of those. It's a slow period for my full-time job, but a busy period for my part time job and side business. Oh well. :P
Be sure to at least find SOME time to spend with your family and enjoy the holidays.

I hope your own business flourishes enough that you won't require working elsewhere.
I find some time to spend with my family. I get one day off after every three days, so it's good. However getting annual leaves seems a bit trickier. We have 40 annual leaves but actually getting them seems impossible so far.

I've worked every Christmas and New Years for the last 10 years. I was even working on Thanksgiving when my daughter was born. I don't get paid any more than normal either. The reason I rarely complain is because I am so thankful not to be in my "customer's" position - which in this case are patients in a hospital.
It's always nice to get gifts, giveaways, presents - but having your health, hopefully all 4 limbs and mobility, your mental faculties and friends/family that surround you is priceless

I am :( I missed almost all the family and friend get-togethers this year. Will be missing out on the friends get together this weekend as well.
