It was easy if you know silent hill :P look at the pictures and think for a moment, if you don't know the games/movies you wont get it :P also the GA ended 5min ago :P

I know the games and movies I just didn't know how to get the reference, unless if the giver is meaning that the puzzle is related to the game he is giving.

The only puzzle in here I could solve without using google was the recent FAQ/Guidelines puzzle.
