Birthday giveaway question (no giveaway here!)

HI! I, too, think it helps to give something away when I am tempted to feel self-pitying.

I would suggest a good quality title that is very seldom given away. Like, Secret of Mana.

Can't decide between "a single expensive game" and "good mid-tier games".
"Game" has one winner, but "games" have several winners. Think I'm gonna go with games.
Like people have said, I guess the community wishlist is quite a good aggregate.

What you could do, but requires much more work on your side, is create a specific group ("whitelist group"), add all peeps from your whitelist to it, and through that you can see their most wanted games. Like I said, much more work.
Another idea; pick a user at random that you've whitelisted, go to their wishlist, check their #1 pick, go to the community wishlist and check the first 10/25/50 entries if it is in the community wishlist too. If not, pick a new user at random.

As have been said a million times, I think a couple mid-tier games from the community wishlist/your personal favorites would be best.

I don't know when the sale will be or if it ends on Christmas or what, but I definitely recommend making the giveaways in the time range of the winter sale to save yourself money and potentially be able to give away even more. :) (But also be very careful with Steam gifts if you go that route).

I don't really have any personal recommendations. If one cheap weeb game could be thrown in there, I'd appreciate it. :P Also, someone mentioned Kynseed, which looks like a fun game I think quite a few people would enjoy.

I believe a good AAA game which you really loved or want to play can be a good giveaway. 😊
