It means somebody FAST took the key. People like that are called ninjas.

That someone was as fast as ninja, almost invisible and key disappeared in seconds, even faster. Damn you ninjas!

they hide in the shadows, waiting for an unaware steam-redeemable code to walk by and WHAM! they activate it within seconds...or to put it another way, spamming F5 button 24/7 for keys to appear.
