I played Max Payne 1 and 2 and I'm still not looking forward to Max Payne 3...

Similar here. Played 1 and 2, and I'm totally scared with MP3 - there are so many elements that just doesn't work for me when it comes to Max Payne ("wallhugging" is my favourite, with multiplayer that comes second - and seeing how multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 affected single player story I can't wait to learn I must play online to be able to unlock painkillers in single player...).
I'm pretty sure MP3 will be a great game. But there are many signs showing it can be terrible Max Payne.

+1, everyone should play it, great story... oh, and if someone played MP2, but not on the hardest difficulty, do it! (a little bit different ending)
Still, even though (or maybe because of) I loved 1 & 2 I'm really afraid of 3, I've got a bad feeling that story and climate (I'm not sure it's a good word, I'm not native english speaker), won't be even half as good as in previous parts. Let's hope I'm wrong...

It absolutely do know what it means. GTA2 wasn't linear because you could do different missions for different factions and complete it. GTA4 has no variation and what you do inbetween missions surely as hell doesn't count for nonlinearity. That's the same if you call Call of Duty nonlinear since you can use different guns to do missions.

I thought they were decent games, and considering I hate shooters and view watching paint dry as a vastly more appealing way to spend my time then Half Life 2 is that's probably pretty high praise if you like shooters.
The screenshots I've seen of MP3 make him look like a 50yr old out of shape pot bellied alcoholic however. I'd love to know what they were thinking when they decided to go that route. Pretty radical departure from the old Max Payne.
I'll be curious to see how the fans of the older series take to it, and whether the gameplay is similar to what it was.

Played MP1 and 2, i still remember the days when i beg my Voodoo2 to run the first one. Also enjoyed the hell out of MP2, but i'm not so sure about Max Payne 3.
First of all, after playing Alan Wake, i do hope they dont flood the game as they did with that title (Alan Wake was like.....Max Payne adapted to a horror story, which seemed a bit dumb to me), or at least keep the tone of the game as serious as Max Payne 2 and 1 was.
Second, i SERIOUSLY dont want to see Max becoming a baldie simply because of some very odd plot twist, i hope they keep the story as truthful to the first two.
Third, i hope they dont pay more attention to the shiny bullet physics than the story and gameplay.
I always saw Max Payne as a graphic novel with some shooter aspects (an amazing feat for me considering, by the time every game was just a shooting game with some very very crappy story), i hope they keep that feeling.

Clicky youtube video
"The makers of Max Payne 1 and 2 shed light on how Remedy Entertainment has been involved in the development of Rockstar's Max Payne 3."
So I have faith :)

Do not be sceptical guys. This game will be amazing. I was very angry at first when I saw bald and fat Max Payne, but I have read several articles on the game and it looks very promising. It is not a cover-based shooter, cover is only there because all third-person shooters have it nowadays. Sao Paolo is one of the most crime-infested cities in the world, also it is very rainy, so the mood will be there 100%. You should check out the movies City of God and Man on Fire, as they remind me of the Max Payne 3 athmosphere.

He's not bald the entire game, he shaves his hair in the middle of it, so that people can't recognize him.

Okay, this is a serious question. I might jump on Hitman Collection.
But, what kind of game is Hitman? Something like Syphon Filter?
I'm too lazy to search for review.

If anyone hasn't played Max Payne 1 and 2 yet, you should. Guys, please. Listen to me. It's a shame so few people are looking forward to Max Payne 3, which comes out this May.
