WHAT? I have pirated the game, and ran into literally 0 bugs. Played the game on release on the PS3, 0 bugs. Everytime I go on the net, everyone says 'oh AC3 is full of bugs so I don't play it' It's been a fucking while since release, the game is all patched up.

You ran into 0 bugs. That by no means indicates that the game has 0 bugs. I can affirm that even with the patch the game runs like complete crap for me. Also, even after they fix the performance issues there will certainly still be bugs but hopefully they'll be a bit more minor.

Except that when I tried to play FC3 every time a movie played my fps dropped below 10. I could play the game itself maxed out but couldn't actually watch any cutscenes. Ubisoft is just doing a piss poor job of optimizing and bug fixing their games on the PC. Then they blame piracy for their lack of sales.
It has nothing to do with people that will never be happy. We just expect massive companies to take some time to actually test and fix the game for the platforms they release on.

Ahh man, that's frustrating, I swear, no one does downloads right except Steam, well Origin does them fine too but other than these two it's pure fuckeries everywhere else

origin always takes 3x as long to download patches as steam does for me, i can remember when i first updated my battlefield 3 it took around 6 hours!

Really? I find that I get faster download speeds on Origin. My ISP detects Steam as P2P so slows down my speed after 2 gigs to 300-500KB/s rather than 5MB/s but with Origin it is constant. Still, it Steam d/ls have improved. I think Virgin finally realised it was not P2P.
Off topic note: Chrome's spell check really pisses me off. It marks the British spelling as wrong. I mean, it's not like the English language came from England or anything.

That does suck then, but I mean, it's as straightforward as Steam in that it does updates etc by itself, and your games are just there, I remember downloading a Ubisoft game recently, and it came as a downloader, which then download like 9 .rar files containing parts of the game lol...I then had to run the final one when they all finished, to install my game, and even though I had a Key, I couldn't even redeem it on Uplay..

Go read his post again, because you apparently don't see that he is complaining about uplay speed of patching and not gamestop speed of downloading the game. I doubt gamestop got something to do with uplay.

So let me get the facts straight, you got 3 games, one of them released a month ago for 6€. And you are complaining?
BTW: Every Far Cry version installs Uplay, and Steam's Uplay and the one which works by itself are different.

Why do you use their app? Press [Windows key]+[R] and type "C:Program Files (x86)Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\uplay.exe -upc_uplay_id 46
". (or wherever you installed Uplay). Then use your serial key to add Far Cry 3 to Uplay.

That's odd, for me it took the regular time to download the 2 patches from uplay. I got an infinite "logging in" screen after updating to 1.03, but after going back to 1.02 everything is working like a charm. I guess cracked Uplay works better than the original lol.

The torrent was pretty fast and so was patching, the issue was that the regular cracks aren't working and you lose your save. So it'd have saved you download time but definitely not frustrations

I assume your were trying to be smart with that comment. After googling Ubisoft DRM I get a bunch of old news announcing Ubisoft's plans for scrapping it's "always on" DRM service. I was already aware of this, so once again, what did they do wrong?

Sounds like a similar/likely reason for conspiracy theorists and all their bullshit that refuses to die and keeps spawning spreading like a fucking plague.
Btw, you're so right about people pirating games, literally nothing can justify stealing games.

True. Again those people are giving the publishers the satisfaction of thinking their game is still worth playing. And also fuels their (mostly lies) about PC gaming. The only time I have come close to pirating a game is when the DRM has been so bad it makes the game unplayable. The way I would proceed would be to buy the game and then pirate it so I still fund the devs/pubs and get the game DRM free. I have never done this because I simply cannot be bothered to buy the game in the end or I do not want to run the risk of getting a virus.

Stating 95% of PC gamers are pirates. Releasing broken games on day one. Forcing you to sign up to their Uplay service. Restricting games almost completely just like EA. Overhyping and making false promises about games. They are becoming more and more like EA.

Ok I remember that article stating that 95% of PC gamers are pirates, that hurt me. But I've yet to play a "broken" game by them. The U=play service doesn't get in the way of Steam, it's not an annoying platform, and gives you extras in addition to the base game experience like awards and achievements. I don't have a problem with that.
I don't believe Ubisoft over hype their games either, that's up to the fans to interpret. That War Z garbage is a good example of false promises, no Ubisoft game has done something like that. Their games are amazing in terms of quality and commitment. Perhaps not the most well optimised games out there, plenty of problems with performance, but no false promises (that's a big deal if it were true).
I'll quote Batman here because it's SO so fitting :P "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

On launch Far Cry 3 was unplayable. For a few days no one could activiate the game because of troubles with servers. They promised "huge fights with 100s (maybe 1000s, cannot quite remember) of enemies on screen", there was one mission were you didn't even fight those enemies and also they stated there was "freedom to run through trees", all those paths were linear. They also said you'd be able to roam the seas as a captain of the Aquila. That was a lie, they were set missions. Most likely there'll be a DLC that'll implement that, which is unacceptable. Many people were disappointed with that game.
Edit: This is an article stating the game was broken
Edit 2: Hell yeah! I can do the link thingy, lol.
In reply to your quote, this may be irrelevant but, You either live free or Die Hard. Awwwww yeeeeeeeeeeeah!

...for less than 10$, and now I'm raging.
Why?
Because
Fuck you, Ubisoft (and GameStop), Fuck you! This is the last time you got me.
