I was banned too for spoiling Game of Thrones but it was totally my fault.

But i think you shouldn't have gotten a ban but maybe a time out would've been better?

Regardless of this incident, my advice to you is to stay away from SG chat as long as chronic is in there

I think you need a more receptive outlet for your apparently controversial discussions as they are seemingly unwelcome both in SG chat and here on the forums (which personally I find to be a shame, but you live with what you have).

It isn't my place to say, and I'm too lazy to read the logs, but from what you say the ban seems a bit harsh.

you were perfectly fine if everything is as you say. but maybe their was some trolls using this to make a storm brew up

You can talk about anything, as long as it's what we want you to talk about.

This is why I like places with little moderation, free to talk about anything without anyone digging the moderating stick out of their asses and start beating others.

Edit: If anyone has shown their tolerance on this forum (on several occasions!), it is you Mr. C and whatever you said (I'm really too lazy to read it now) should not get you banned from chat because I'm confident you were not insulting anyone.

MrCastiglia, you know those guys with cameras filming cops? That guy is you.

People constantly monitor and push their buttons and always plead the "Well I am not breaking any rules". True.

Now there is something called social conduct that every person perceives, it is different from individual to individual. Also different from country to country and group to group. It is always different and changing so it's hard to pinpoint. What I mean by all this is you somehow stepped beyond the "I am a citizen and practicing my freedom of speech" and slightly verged the "I am slowly becoming to be an ass as I won't stop speaking on a subject".

The cop was the admin this time and it isn't really smart to push on a subject in a passive aggressive way. Even if it is very mild and even if you are right, you are kind of being childish pursuing the "well I know google/textbooks, now explain to me how am I wrong" subject constantly and bringing it up. Comments like "well you didn't have anything to say so I guess I won" make you seem like a douche, the same kind you are trying to battle.

You might of used the same internet lingo and stood up but going against a moderator on such a subject is really dumb. Good luck and keep calm and get some balm for that butt hurt'ness of yours.

I get it that you didn't step outside any possible rules but getting in a small wordfight with a moderator is your own risk that you are willing to take. Trying to stir up somekind of response and a shitstorm isn't that commendable and makes you seem like you let it sink into yourself too much. Just go to support or be more open about your motives. What are you trying to get with this threat? Is is butt-hurt relief?

You basically went on a debate it the chat about gender types and didn't want to quit or back out against an admin who asked you to stop. You seemed to be the only one taking it seriously and they started going at you. That is all.

SG Chat is not a democracy. If the mods don't like you or something you say, they ban you. That's that. I know several people who were regulars (think 10+ hours a day in chat) who were banned forever for various reasons, some of which never actually broke any rules. I have my own opinions on several chat regulars, but I'll refrain from saying anything, lest I get suspended here for "calling out".

Here are the ground rules. Learn them, love them, live them, or else go to the "I Don't Care Enough To Be Respectful Of People Who Are Different From Me" room down the hall.

So, in case nobody's noticed, "tolerance" is no longer acceptable.

"You must respect mah authoritahhh! (oh, btw, I don't respect your authoritahhh...)"
