I did. Kind of sucked, especially for $9.99

I got Steel Storm: Burning Retribution (which I redeemed just because it included the DLCs) and Velvet Assassin, which I'm giving away here: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/5NiyA/velvet-assassin

Then I got THREE games which have given away free in the past. I'll throw the keys up here just for anyone who missed them previously since I can't create giveaways for them. Please indicate if they get used:

Canyon Capers: TAKEN
Orborun: TAKEN
Time, Gentlemen, Please and Ben There! Dan That!: TAKEN

Then I got Zack Zero which was the one game I didn't have yet, then a coupon for 2 GBP, which is $2.83 at current exchange rates.

So 3 previously free games, 3 meh games for $7.16. Totally not worth it, and you can all point and laugh at me now.

Hope you enjoy the fruit of my stupidity. Thanks for saying you grabbed them.

Don't be harsh on yourself (and why would we laugh at you?) Yeah, it wasn't probably the most well-thought purchase of your life, but such things can happen to most of us, we all have our moments of brilliance.

Mostly I'm posting so there'll be something out there telling people not to buy. I wasn't really expecting 7 brand new AAA games, but if I wanted previously free games, I'd throw my money at G2A.

Why did you go for that? :[
Should've asked around in the forums before you did that. Almost all mystery bundles are sort of a rip-off.

Yeah, thought for $10 though they'd have at least something good in them.

Can't even give it a poor review since all reviews are moderated and how much you want to bet this one never shows up?

u could've gotten more value from trading for bundled games that you really wanted. Ofc trading experience required which you don't have

Do people really trade anything of value for previously free games?

The only non previously free one I gave away is Velvet Assassin.

"Mystery" bundles are all of the games that nobody can sell, either because the games are awful or because they have been given away countless times or both.

If the games were any good, they'd tell you what they were before you bought them!

You can get lucky with mysteries SOMETIMES. Last time GOG had a mystery thing, I got Legend of Grimrock 2 as one of the mystery gifts, and it was still pretty new then.

GOG sells higher quality games overall so they're a bit of an exception. You really don't find any shovelware in their store.

Yea GOG's catalog is curated, unlike Steam's anymore. I don't think they sell anything that was mass free GA.

Yeah, sorry it ended up that way. Everyone seems to have the same experience.

$9.99... That's $0.81 short of the Humble Bundle monthly (if you have a 10% off coupon) :(

Humble Monthly Bundle has been on fire lately.

Only reason I'm not getting it this month is that System Requirements Lab's Can You Run It site all but laughed at me when I asked it about my somewhat crappy computer and Mad Max.

Buy it still while it's cheap for the collection, and save up for a new PC? :)

Don't feel too bad, one night when I was tired I was looking on their site and bought it and got 5 duds for $10. I'm usually pretty careful with my money so I just see buying it as a $10 lesson.

I suppose I shouldn't be complaining about bad luck too much... maybe it's evening out after I've won 4 giveaways in the last week here. All public and none with more than 4 copies in the giveaway.

Too expensive of a gamble... Even when there's people claiming that they've received Call of Duty, Dishonored, etc.

+1 damn right-don't blow your money on thin air folks, save it for something you know you'd enjoy
square enix holiday mystery bundles seem to be really bad too (bad value for money) lately..
at least with humble bundle you know what you are getting and part of it can go to a good cause
that being said there are some other sites that sell cheap steam games....
