Kittens are much better. They never complain about bundles.

Can I speak kitish? Pff, of course I can. I was taught by King Kittan himself!

Actually I was thinking of this scene from A Few Good Men... but yours works, too.

Because people just love to complain about everything.

I always find the bitching funny, because I generally prefer the bundles that everyone else flips out about. HIB Android? Hurray, games for both the PC and my tablet! Ebook bundle? Yay! Bundle full of games I've never heard of? Nifty, maybe I'll find something I never would have given a second look otherwise.

I think too many people don't get it, that the humble bundles are about charity and helping humanity organizations. They only care about low prizes.

Humble Inc. is about making money for the devs and to stay in business themselves.
The 20% split to charity is nice, but lets not act like these bundles are "for charity".
Comment has been collapsed.
20% is the default split, and I'd wager a fair amount of people never touch the sliders when they buy.
It's also what they clearly intend to give, otherwise the defaults would be different. Either way, Humble Inc is a business, not a charity. The people who work there make a salary and the devs make money, the charity is just a bonus.

Charity doesn't make them less of a business. If they didn't make money from this (at least to reward their efforts of hunting down developers/publishers and having them do the bundle plus keep their website alive), then there would be no bundle websites.

No, it's not for charity. Humble Inc is a business that makes money for itself and the devs that participate, and the charitable donations are a nice side effect.
While it is nice of them to do so, people shouldn't look at a company that donates 20% of it's income to charity as a charity itself. Plain and simple, they are a retailer with philanthropic tendencies.

Drum roll...... Because people have opinions, welcome to earth.
Could just as easily say, why do people complain about people complaining about bundles.
Comment has been collapsed.
My thoughts exactly. I hate when people give opinions disguised as "questions".

Honestly...
I don´t like Indie, 8bit or anything related... I´m all in for AAA. (now´s the moment you can hate on me for being ignorant or anything...)
But that´s no reason to complain about a bundle. I don´t like it, I don´t buy it dat simple! Anything else would be like complaining that prunes are on sale right now, when I like cherries better... maybe there are people who like prunes, and the offer is simply not for me :)

I don't like the misconception that indie is 8-bit. Granted, it's your right to not want to play indie games. However, I will say that you never know what you may find from the indie scene. After all, they aren't all platformers, despite OTHER misconceptions.

Imo many indies are more AAA than many current supposed AAA-titles right now so... It's a shame you see it that way.

Because people think that they have the right to always buy their games for 1 dollar

why do people complain about people complaining about bundles? :3

Cause if someone has a different opinion than you then they must be wrong and it is your duty to inform them of this. That's how the universe works. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
well when I really don't want to buy the game I come here and look for it. If that doesn't work I get it through OTHER means.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not for anyone who took advantage of previous sales.
Really, people want new things. Sure, some people who have missed a previous sale would be happy to see a deal for a game, but normally people wouldn't be enthusiastic at all to see the same games discounted again and again.

Most kids wouldn't know the value of a dollar if it slapped them in the face these days...
Also, people LOVE to complain. About EVERYTHING.

Fixed that for you. Because I can assure you, many adults never learned either.

Yeah, you got me there, that statement applies to all age groups these days. >_<
Every once in a while you come across an exception though, they're quite rare these days...

The Comedy Bundle wasn't bad. In fact, you are "hilariously" wrong. It was much better than at least more than half of Humble Bundle's recent bundles. I sure do hope they do a Comedy Bundle 2.
This Humble Bundle X bundle is fairly good, here's hoping the bonuses will be pretty good also.

I didnt really get on with the comedy bundle too well. I'd not really heard of them so I gave it a try, but Maria Bamford has to be the least funny person I've ever had the misfortune of wasting my time listening to (of course, thats just personal opinion).
A couple of the others gave me a few chuckles, but I've paid much less for some really great nights of live standup in some UK cities.

Here here! They'll complain that they didn't get everything they want, until they are given what they want at which point they'll complain that they didn't get more.

+1
I remember before things like bundles existed in my life, being happy as can be going to get the original boxed set of The first couple of Command and Conquer games. Remember buying games 1 at a time and playing them joyfully until they were beaten and you had money for the next game? Good stuff. Great times. We all need to be more grateful! :D

It's only about charity if you move the slider to sufficiently cover charity.

This is the problem with your perspective... You think that absolutely everyone that hates the current Humble Bundle hates it because they think they are going to get AAA games. That is where you're wrong. It is shit to us because we just happen to not like the same kind of games as you. Before you ask, yes- we are entitled to what we want. It is our money after all, if our demands are not met- we do not buy. You might be a little ranty because of some topic on the forum (Which you could have posted in instead of making a topic for your own "glory") that you never had to read.

One of the things I hate about the Humble Bundle is that people LOVE to complain that a bundle doesn't have 4 AAA games and 3 games that were released 2 days ago. All of these people believe they are entitled to a godly bundle of games. The recent example is Humble Indie Bundle X. Frankly, I think it is the greatest indie bundle to date. I own half the games in the bundle, but that doesn't make the bundle "meh" or "lame". Just because you own the games in the bundle, it's bad? Come on. A bad bundle is the Jim Guthrie bundle or the Comedy Bundle. This is not a bad bundle. Stop feeling like you are entitled, and don't complain for unnecessary reasons. And don't complain about the bonus games either. Just be glad these bundles even exist.
