Hawken closed beta keys!

Want to get into the closed beta for Hawken this weekend?

Go here and follow the instructions until it runs out of keys. At the time I posted this, there were 1,868 keys left. (Now 1,251 left as of 8:25am PST.)

Hawken is a new free-to-play first-person competitive shooter that's launching in open beta on December 12th. The first closed beta test is running this weekend, starting around noon Pacific time Friday and ending at 11:59pm PST, Monday night. There will be more test periods between now and launch, and there is no NDA on the beta. (Note that the alpha phases remain under NDA.) Stomping around in mechs is a hell of a lot of fun, especially with jumpjets, and there's a good amount of variety in the different models they've been testing.

The Hawken community is small but fun, and I hope to see some of you in there! :D

It means silence, staring. At the moment, Hawken is in closed, invite-only beta as it is. Of course it isn't on Steam. It's an indie developer.

It's an ellipsis, presumably expressing surprise at Rocky's blanket rejection of any game that isn't on Steam.
