Plants vs Zombies 2 just launched on iOS, you should check that out, very addictive game.

Games:

PEGGLE is probably the best iOS game I've ever played.

If you like racing, I recommend Ground Effect. It's about 14 maps of racing. It may not be for everyone but I love it.

If you have money, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is probably the best iOS game on the appstore. I haven't played it because it costs 20 USD. It's expensive but probably the best game for sale.

If none of those interest you, try Badland. It is a difficult game to describe but it's fun trying to perfect every level.

Movies:

I loved Superbad (a movie about high school seniors trying to bring alcohol to a party in order to get girlfriends) and 21 Jumpstreet (a movie about two stupid cops getting caught in a serious situation). They are both funny and are comedy movies. If you want something less adultish, I would recommend Despicable Me.

If you want to see an action movie, I recommend Avatar or one of those new movies where they attack the whitehouse (Olympus has Fallen or Whitehouse Down)

For serious movies, I have heard that The Da Vinci Code is supposed to be amazing, although I haven't seen this movie :(
