Well, there are several large linear levels in the game. At the end of these levels, there's usually a waypoint (fast travel system) that allows you to fast travel to any other waypoint in the game (that you've discovered). However, there are some waypoints that only allow you to leave, you cannot return to them once you use them :P So if I want to quickly go back to the hub town and sell my stuff to free up some space in my inventory, I can't do that because I would have to travel ALL the way back from the start of the level. And enemies respawn after you leave levels...
It's just a minor annoyance. A word of advice, watch out for the yellow fast travel stations, you'll know them when you see them. Those are the no return waypoints.

+1
Also @ Darkie how can you know that it isn't worth it's price if you don't even own/played the game -_-.

I've tried Borderlands for hours at a friends :) so I have tried it, didnt like it too much but he loved it! like madly.. (thus the reason I said its my opinion!!!!!!) I've just tried BL2 last night at a friend "the same friends actually" and well... it looks and feels like the first one :D I could not tell a difference other than a new adventure... I don't like the system where you just keep killing and changing your loot (its to fast you can't get attached to a weapon) I got bored fast... As I said matter of opinion.. my friend told me its super fun if you play with others :D but well, I don't like it enough to buy it :D thus I think its not worth the money unless you play it with friends (a 15 euro deal would be ok)

Let me get this out of the way. I did not like the first one. I do not like this one.
here is why:
1)While I do love the story and characters the world (while a significant leap over the first one) is still bland and overall uninteresting, something akin to an MMO
2)Archaic questing system
3)No dedicated loot = nightmare in pub
4)Still only 1 skill and boring passives
5)No advanced class synergy
6)High hopes for new weapon modifiers (like the "accuracy incr. while shooting, grenade on reload" etc.) crushed
7) MP causes bullet sponges and adds nothing to the gameplay experience (don't tell me it's mroe fun with friends, most co-op games are)
This being said, they did pretty much improve BL1 in every way. The story was also fantastic. And (imho) the best thing was how much better and more "organic" the weapon randomization engine worked visually. Also, the matchmaking is much better, and the level equalization system is a great idea, if not completely refined.
If they really up the RPG aspect of the game for part 3 they can create something so much more... So much potential with skills...
Still... Great game, just can't get over the feeling of wasted potential. Then again, I am an aspiring games designer, so i am a tad bit more critical than your average Joe. D:

I've been down the games design path myself, so I understand your dislikes ^^
And so you'll understand me when I say that no game is perfect. And that there can always be more added to a game to make it "more ideal" for certain individuals.
Personally, I'm satisfied with the single skill and "boring" passive abilities. From my experience, they are more interesting than you think :P The humour keeps the quests fun and enjoyable despite being basic and otherwise too simple.
I think the random weapons and class/grenade mods are enough to keep me occupied when it comes to loot. Adding specific weapon modifiers starts to get a little complicated when I collect loot and have to stop and assign yet another mod/check existing mods to be upgraded.
I do agree with you on the class synergy abilities though. They should have added another layer to the co-op to make it more interesting. (I personally don't play co-op). I really enjoy the single player experience on my own where I don't have to worry about other people jacking my loot lol.
Just my opinion, I respect yours.

Well I played a few minutes of it, then, when Torchlight 2 came out 4 hours later, I played that. I'm still playing Torchlight 2...
Not that Borderlands 2 is a bad game. I think it's pretty fantastic! But the way they fixed up Torchlight 2 has made it far more addictive, so its been dragging me away from BL2.

Yeah, I played BL2 on Monday (my 360 preorder arrived that day), Tuesday, Wednesday... then Torchlight 2 and I haven't done anything else all weekend.

It's a more of the same of the first. If you loved Borderlands you'll love Borderlands 2, if you hated it, then you'll hate this as well.

You know that this rule does not apply for every game, right?

Not true. BL1 was extremely boring to me. That is, when I played singleplayer. Multiplayer is a bit better.
However, BL2 is lots of fun. Even as a singleplayer game. Especially as a singleplayer game since you don't pay much attention to what's going on when you play with friends.

Yeah, BL1 was dull. Rescuing a broken down claptrap in a nearly vacant ghost town by slaughtering pyschos with the help of a mysterious woman. Getting a ride station working on your way to finding a mysterious vault. BL2 is much more interesting with its nearly vacant ghost town in which you help a broken claptrap by slaughtering pyschos with the help of a mysterious AI woman and get a ride station working on your way to finding a mysterious second vault.
Lol couldn't help myself. I'm really enjoying it though and I am having an easier time of BL2 too, especially single player wise.

First i misread the title, i was like "What are Borderlands Onions?" well whatev XD
All in all B2 a is great sequel, i hope this time they manage to fix that modding bullshit that everyone has been doing on B1.
It was really annoying as fuck when people had shield with 2158233285241 energy and guns with similar dps output.
