The cartoony effect has been overworked massively. Don't like it.

I love the Borderlands series as a whole. It's over the top, crazy and it does not take itself seriously. Gunfights are fricking amazing, greatly improved from the first. Dialogues are funny and some, filled with puns. Graphics are awesome too, since the first game, it felt really unique, it sets it apart from all other shooters. Borderlands is like a breath of fresh air and BL2 is way more epic.

Just got in today and installed, played for a bit, and I can say it's awesome!

Great game, very fun!

However, I really hate playing Zer0 and Salvador.
I find their skills don't do much for my playstyle.. (Even though I use sniper almost exclusively, I hate Zer0. Though he looks cool, I guess.)

Axton is my most favorite guy to play on both multi and single.

Honestly I haven't played a whole lot due to Guild Wars 2 consuming most of my time with a touch of Torchlight 2 and now FTL:Faster then Light.

BUT what I have played I'm loving it more then Borderlands 1. The dialogue in BL1 was funny and amazing but BL2 most certainly 1upped it, and I'm loving every second of it and laughing at almost everything.

Get it.

I like how all of you are saying its like the first, but the first was boring and stale and I stopped playing after about 5 hours. But something is different about this game that it has me addicted. No way its the same, they did something with it.

If you like the first one you'll like Borderlands 2. But it doesn't really offer much other than that. It is really fun, with very responsive controls and yadda yadda yadda. But it just seems that I've played this game before but this time it has a new story and new characters. It's still a fun game, but I would suggest waiting for a discount or something as it is not worth the current price.

It's something to play until Dishonored / XCOM / Hitman: Absolution come out, but I probably won't bother to get very far in it. I like the humor but the gameplay is about as tedious as Borderlands 1. I've also found a few small glitches but nothing game-breaking. I'm glad that I didn't pay full price for it, but I still think I overpaid.
