I've been following this gem for a time now, and it seems that it has now a vast amount of features to edit, and render voxel based models. It 's very easy to use, light, and has a super quality renderer, with material control like metal, glass, and and also emissive voxels. In the renderer, there's even a Lego render option for voxels, which turns your model into, well, Lego.
If you liked building in Minecraft, or like Lego in general, or would like to work with voxels, take a look at ephtracy's MagicaVoxel.
