It is my birthday and I am giving away CAKE!

So, on this day, so many years ago, I was born.

I do not know when or why the United Nations decided to make my birthday International Woman's Day without asking me. So, one day a year, I get the opportunity to make the joke that I am a gift to all the women of the world. (PS - please do not take this joke seriously; as I do not either.)

Today, I will have cake. PANCAKES! I would like to invite you to join me for pancakes (waffles, crepes etc) today.

Please consider visiting your local IHOP for Free Pancake Day and help donate to a worthy charity. If there is no IHOP nearby, please consider doing something nice for a stranger or buying meal for someone in need. Try to do it face to face if you can - so that in the moment it may put a smile on your face or someone else's.

The point is: pay it forward and do something nice for someone in need. This would be a preferable gift to be given on my behalf.

Boring sheet cake with lots of sugary frosting
Cupcakes! Because they are the perfect size
Ice cream cake; because it is a perfect combination
Pancakes, Crepes or WAFFLES!
POTATO ~ pancakes. Nice hot, crispy and yummy latkes!
Cheesecake! Either the creamy variety or the classy pin-up variety
Johnycake - simple pan-baked cornbread with honey or preserves.
Little single-serving pastry cakes like twinkies, snowballs, chocodies... etc
I prefer PIE! Nice hot, flavorful pie with lots of yummy fruit and crispy crust.
I will be giving someone else cake instead. *WINNER!!!*

It is! If you ever see one, try it (unless it's from supermarket, they don't have good ones). And you can have different ones, not only poppy, but plum, cherry and others. Yummy. I just ate one for breakfast :-)
