I'm really wondering why the steamgifts/steamtrades website doesnt offer the possibility to send an automatic email notification after someone answered on my trade-offer.
Sometimes I forget to watch my offer-page (I have no time to check it every few minutes) and then I see a reply from a member 3 days later. So why on earth isn't there a "checkbox" like on every other website in the world, that I get an eMail after someone replys to my offer?

Do you wish an eMail-Notification after somebody replys on your trade-offer/thread?

Instead of email, I wish there was something like a browser-addon, a widget or a taskbar program that could inform you.
I agree that checking all of the time if you have an offer/reply is not always the most convenient way to go.

Well, you get a notification on the message icon on this site, so you don't have to check your post everytime. But I don't support the idea of mail. A lot of people here are not just active on the trade forum but also make tons of giveaways. I'd rather not get an email evertime somebody says "thanks" on one of my GA's. It would just flood my mail with it and I don't even have as much GA's as other people here.

Ok, I can understand that.
But I for myself only have one "trades-thread" and I look onto this page only every 2-3 days. I cant look at the page every 5 minutes or even let it open all the time to check the red symbol for new answers...
Why dont they at least give the possibility to get an email notification, that is deactivated as default, so that only the people that want it, can activate it?

It can be usefull to some people, but I gues there are too little people that will actually use it to implement it. It is not something they can quickly add I think.

On a sort of related note: Is it possible to disable the e-mail notifications for Community Market Transactions? I buy a lot of 3 Cent Trading cards and recently had to delete ~ 1500 Community Market Invoices.
