I'm on the fence about buying this game. Can you talk a bit more about the gameplay? i think an can buy it for a 25 euro. Do you think it's worth the price? Are the battles with captains created by the nemesis system interesting and varied?

The guys that kill you always are different, they get promoted and stuff, and then there are also conflicts between them, like 2 guys are fighting to be a warchief, there are missions on that too. Def worth 25 euro. Gameplay is somethin like if the witcher 2 had better combat. It's a lot of action, you need to be able to parry very quickly or else youre screwed. There are also down states where you need to drag your mouse into the circle and stuff.
Edit: Also, the combat can get REALLY frkng hard.

"Story: Haven't played much of the story yet. But so far it's very lore friendly and interesting" - wait, everybody says devs raped Tolkien, and you say "lore-friendly"?
Oh, wait, you didn't played that much, so maybe they didn't start rape yet...

Its fanboys nitpicking.
I'm not a Tolkien nerd. I've read the Hobbit and LOTR once each and I enjoy all of the movies, but I've not read everything or poured over encyclopedias about the world or anything like that. If anything, I can be called a casual fan of the whole lore. That said, the game fits in that everything that's happening seems like it could've. It makes sense. I have no doubt that someone who knows absolutely everything (or thinks they do) would nitpick this. Its natural. It's happened to everyone of Peter Jackson's movies. What do you think fanboys said when Fellowship came out? Even I having read the books relatively recently prior to that film being released knew there were dramatic liberties taken, but I still loved the film. The game is entertaining and puts me in Mordor and it's not going to affect my immersion or interest b/c something could've or could not have happened in lore.

Just because you either have not read enough of the source material and/or did not take it in fully does not mean that critiques of the current trend in LotR merchandise can be blanketly swept under the rug as "nitpicking." This is especially so when you yourself concede that there were "dramatic liberties taken." That in and of itself suggests far more than "nitpicking."
I have no complaints with the gameplay, and taken as some generic fantasy story with no association with any franchise, I'd say the story is not too bad, and is presented in an above average fashion. I think it's a good game. However, I would certainly object to the OP's use of the term "lore friendly" or your assertion that it "makes sense."

I'd love to see some mods coming for it and maybe other stuff, who knows? Maybe it'll be the next Skyrim...

It was available to play right at midnight Eastern which is my time zone, and very few games these days cause me to stay up all night playing. It helped that I was off today, but I didn't expect it to suck me in the way it did. I really enjoy it so far needless to say.
Gameplay, it does "look" like AC and there are aspects of that gameplay (i.e. jumping from on high) but I found combat a lot more related to the Arkham games with the chained attacks and such. I was loving initiating massive fights with 30 guys (only was able to get that many in strongholds) just to get the combat flowing, which is something I haven't done since Arkham Asylum, which had a similar effect on me when I saw a very familiar IP just blow me away in game. The stealth system is a little too forgiving IMO, unless urucs are just naturally really stupid. The nemesis system is AWESOME and could be a game-changer in certain respects. If you are defeated, the one who beat you gets promoted, becomes stronger, and remembers you. The amount of dialogue recorded is immense, you'll be walking by and hear them talk about you, wanting revenge, and there's more. The story grabs you within the first 10 minutes of game play and just sucked me right in. Excellent set up to the story and then it throws you right into the game.
It runs absolutely fantastic. It looks fantastic. I'm able to run it on Ultra at 60-70 FPS with an FX-8350 and an R9 290X. It defaulted me to medium textures and high on everything else, but I bumped it up to Ultra on everything and I don't notice a difference in performance from default (1920x1080), but I could definitely see the difference. I have not tried the high res texture pack, and don't know if Im going to even bother. It's optimized fantastically and Ive not encountered any bugs whatsoever thus far.
All in all this is one of the most impressive games released this year and certainly the most pleasantly surprised I've been since Arkham Asylum in respect to a game where I know the IP well going in. My complaints are few. The main map (keep in mind I've only completed 4 story missions and a handful of side missions) seems that it may be smallish unless there are other areas to uncover, but there is a lot to do. Tons of side missions and plenty of orcs to kill. Its great and you should pick it up when you can.

Hmmm guess I need to check my graphics settings. I didnt find it that beautiful. Its dark and there's not really much to see, it all looks the same (first map). I guess I'm used to the colourful Black Flag surroundings.
Still, its a lot of fun to play. And it runs smooth.
Maybe it gets harder (I'm 2.9h in) but until now its a walk in the park.

Dunno, really tough for me, I get surrounded and kicked in the ass a lot :/ Dev quote: "It all depends on how hard YOU make the game"
Edit: The graphics depend on the area you are in, the time of day, and the weather. It's gonna be dark and gloomy a lot (It's Mordor, DUH) but sometimes it gets very beautiful when the clouds part, it makes you appreciate good weather a heck lot.
Edit 2: Screenshot of good weather, on my laptop, so it's low settings. Dunno how this got here

From the 2 hrs I played I conclude the following:
Gameplay: even if this game does look like Assassin's Creed, the gameplay is a heck ton cooler. it's got action and timing and it's actually challenging. The stealth system is grate, the finishers are very satisfying and brutal. If you get detected, you'll have a lot of this going on...
Gameplay Edit: The parkour is also challenging and realistic, you ain't gonna jump that 10 meter jump brah, nah not happenin. Also that spiked wall you wanted to climb? Forget it
Graphics and optimization: Great graphics, great optimization. My 750m 4gb can run it on low with some things on medium. It. is. gorgeous. You can turn on motion blur to smudge some of the frames. Res was 768p.
Graphics Edit: Forgot to add... I'm having a problem; I can't change to 720p... It goes from 768p all the way to 684p or something like that, dunno if I'm doing something wrong or if it is a "feature"
Story: Haven't played much of the story yet. But so far it's very lore friendly and interesting. It's got gollum...
Open-World: It's not that big to be honest, maybe there are more maps I dunno, but I feel like I'll complete the whole map by the next day. Lots of missions and a good diversity of areas. Some are pretty repeating though, and some are very interesting.
RPG Elements: fairly standard, kinda seems like Watch_Dogs (Just a little) but they're good. You get skills for riding animals and cool finishers an all other different features. And of course you can lvl your defense, bow, sword, dagger, health, etc.
I would rate this game so far a solid 8 or 8.5 out of 10.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! And tell me what you think of the game yourself!
Edit: also the nemesis system is great but can get annoying after you die a couple of times to the cap :/. You'll be desperate to hunt down that captain. And also would like to help other captains get up in rank. Lots of really cool stuff. Very unique.
Edit2: A negative edit, this game has the most annoying music :(. Turned it off after 2 hrs, just random drum pounding.
