Your first computer

The first computer I bought for myself is the one I'm currently using.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8 GHz
GPU: Radeon HD 5550
PSU: 500Watt
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Win 7 64-bit

That's how the comp was when I first got it, I've recently upgraded the GPU and PSU.

GPU: Radeon HD 7950
PSU: 700Watt

My first one was in 2003, an AMD Duron 1.2GHz, 128MB RAM, integrated VIA something graphics, some integrated soundcard, seagate 30GB HDD, 3.5" FDD, Windows 98 SE, 15" CRT... and servval replaced PSU's by the warranty service since they were frying kinda frequently =) or some other issues since I was kinda messing with it.

I was too young to know the specs, but it had Windows95 and ran Quake 1 like a boss!

Pentium 2.

Ach, good old times :).

Pentium 200, 32MB of RAM, Matrox 4MB graphic card + 3DFX 2MB acceleration! Actually the last one I received few months later but what a difference it was! ^^

Pentium Mmx 166Mhz in 1995 at first whit Win 3.11 5mounth later whit win95 :D
Actually i am on my 3rd pc: Q9550 3gb ram dr2 800

My first computer (still functioning now) feature

• Pentium 4
• 256mb ram (upgraded a few time)
• less-than-DVD HDD
• nvidia Tnt2
• 56k modem (broken, pulled out)
• 100Mb/s LAN

Now it's acting as IPCop firewall. If I have VLAN tagging switch, I will replace it with RaspberryPi.
Sry, top pic was originally taken to show how I light up the scene to shoot each part. It was in stock image I took when I started to learn photography.

My first computer was an Amiga 500 with 1MB of RAM. Then I traded it (what I'd done?) for a 286 20MHz - 1MB RAM - 3,5" & 5,25" drives - no HDD.
One year later I started gaming seriously when I bought a 386DX 40MHz, 4MB RAM, HD 210MB.
Fortunately, I still have some of my old PCs here with me today.

Acorn Electron

First PC was a Daewoo branded machine and I don't remember the full specs. It had a 2.1 GB hard drive, ran Win 98 and I think but am not sure that it had a Celeron "Mendocino" processor @ 333 Mhz. No idea about memory. 56k dial up modem, floppy drive, cd rom drive.

In between those I had an Amstrad CPC6128 and a few consoles.

My first computer was a Amstrad CPC 464 with an whole 64K memory! Since then I have gone through god knows how many PC's, from 286's, to my current i5 based PC. It is amazing how much things have changed over the years!

First apple ever made, forget specs, was neat for the time but crazy to use now.

2nd had like ram in the double digits....and like a 500mb hard drive I think.

all i remember about my first computer is the processor type. It`s intel 486dx2

Vic20. If that don't count then and AMD 486 DX-2 66. I don't remember much else about it. It had a 3.5 inch floppy and I think a CD player. I know it had a modem in it cause I used it to connect to local BBS'.

386SX, 4 MB RAM, 40 MB HDD.

Still using this computer.
It isn't good but still it's able to play games like tf2, css.

Mobile Number Processor

It was mobile, way before it's time. And had the same processing power that put a man on the moon!

Zx Spectrum+, Still have the original box

Commodore 128, in more recent terms (IE windows PC) A Packard Bell with a 300 cyrix cpu and 32 mb ram and a whopping 2 gig HDD

Vic 20. Then upgraded to C64 and C128. After that finally got my first PC an 8088 w/ 2 5.25" drives so I swapped one out for a 20 MB hard drive. That was also when I first got online with "blazing speed": I skipped right over the 300 and 1200 and got the 2400 baud modem.

Now, I feel old.
