WTF is Brilliant Bob? Super Meat Boy ripoff in 3D?

Too slow and not gross-looking enough to be called a SMB ripoff.

Not sold after watching the trailers. But then again, the world does need more efforts on the 3D platforming front, so I'm not dismissing it right away.

I don't like the game from the trailer, but I wouldn't call it a ripoof neither. The only similarity I see is main character design. First of all the game looks to be 3d slow-paced platformer, totally different from super fast super precise 2d platforming SMB presents. If it's totally another genre it's hard to call it a ripoff. Next - artstyle of levels and locations is totally different (bloody/edgy meatboy style vs normal mediocre forest/castle locations not similarto SMB at all) so is the music (slow uninspired music vs SMB fast and aggresive rock tracks). There is more - collecting crates for points for example.

It looks like a poor game that may be ripping off character design from SMB, but it's far from let's say Bloodbath Kavkaz level of ripoff or all Minecraft clones.

everytime i see someone saying SMB i think of Super Mario Brothers anyone else had that as well lol?
