Contact steam support and see if they do anything about it. Sorry for your loss.

EDIT: have you tried resetting your password to your email in chance your "hacker" hasn't changed that yet.

Ya, me. I got a late response, but I got it quickly back. In one or two messages in the ticket.

Nope. To get my Steam account you must get my mail. To get my mail, you need my phone. Passwords have all types of signs, supporting questions have answers like this "asdjsahdajsdbkasbaskbdasbdabkaabjsbakj".

Noobs get hacked.

Yes, as he got my trust, and i was dumb enough to be on teamviewer with him.
And over teamviewer he obviously planted a virus on my computer.
Was chatting with him over steam, and he was "helping" me with a problem.

There is now way that i would know of to "plant" a virus using teamviewer...

I belive it transferred somehow, i dunno how..
I also signed in with both steamacc and mail on teamviewer too (yes i know it's VERY stupid of me)
But he cleared cache history etc, so i didn't think it was THAT risky..
I apologize.

Even if you signed in while TV is active: Passwords aren´t shown, so where´s the problem? Oo

Still, if you don´t KNOW for sure, don´t accuse people. Maybe it wasn´t him at all and it´s just a coincidence in time. Can happen.

No, it WAS him, 100% sure.
He obviously used something like a keylogger.

It was him, go on that hackers profile. He clearly hints and the hacker is the only one on his friends list.

You can transfer files with teamviewer, you can disable UAC with teamviewer, you can turn off anti-virus with teamviewer, and you can open files with teamviewer. Oh, and you can gift away someones steam games over teamviewer too. I mean... It's giving someone control over your computer.

Yes, but you are still there watching what the person does, right?

You don´t go away and say "Yeah, go ahead, i´ll go take out the dog meanwhile" Oo

Well, at least I wouldn´t...

Sure, if he goes away from the computer and you give him the password and accept a file transfer and..
oh well, this is BS, hes faking this.

Sorry for being ignorant on the subject but how can he access that information if he can't login to his account? What if the account gets set to private?

Here's my theory: maybe you just didn't had GTA IV at all and now you just invented this excuse with this friend who hacked you.Don't get mad at me,it's just my opinion,of course I could be wrong.

Interesting such things happen so often in cool giveaways.

Haven´t seen such a thread while Fortix was given away.

And the "hacker" was the first who commented on his "legit" giveaway for two guest passes of Red Orchestra(I suspect that those were guest passes because the winners doesn't have the game in their library).I think that's just one of your alternate accounts.

Wouldn't it be like 10 times easier to simply say you made a fake giveaway because you didn't read the rules and ask for it to be deleted? Humans do make mistakes

The hacker won't get banned unless a lot of evidence against him is provided which in this case is more guessing than proof

So basically, what you are saying is that you gave someone you don't really know,
the keys to your house and car, then looked away, and now some stuff are missing and you are surprised/mad that it happened?

I mean, seriously, didn't you think something like this could happen?

Here is a funny fact for you:

If your account got hacked and steamguard was turned on and your hacker changed the E-Mail and Password after he "hacked" your account? The only thing that will happen is that your account will be locked.

The only thing you have to do is to contact the Support to unlock it and write it back to your old email.

But here is another funny fact for you:
Your never owned GTA as a gift and this is just a lame excuse.
