No one cares when Konami, Bandai Namco, and Sony ban us for no reason, don't worry, you'll get used to it... or not, just buy a PS5 instead... or come join Luffy on the Grand Line as we do. Welcome to the team.

They are so stupid, that they don't realize, that they are SONY, and that when they piss us off, we also don't buy their cameras, smartphones and TVs, as I don't already for 12 years after their EQ2 stunt. The answer is simple: "SONY? No way!"

You're touching onto something there. During the last days of turmoil I thought Sony's acting like a cornered rat. Sure, they're making excellent consumer hardware but somehow they lost against competition from South Korea and China. Although I don't believe the sentiment of pc gaming crowd results in more than a blimp on their balance sheet it's never a good thing to have negative brand perception.

I think, that this may be a bit more, than just a blimp. During my fight with SOE over EQ2 I've been trying to reach the SONY HQ to complain about the behavior of their subdivision (or however it's called in their corporate structure), which turned out to be impossible. Based on this experience since then I've told many people never to buy anything from Sony. Sure, not everyone took this so much to their heart, but I really did love my Horse of Different Colors in EQ2, and many others felt very strongly about that game as well, so I wouldn't be surprised, if they've got much more of negative brand perception from this incident, than it appears on the first sight.
It's now even acting like a cornered rat, but more like a blinded panicked elephant. It seems, that they didn't get enough of bad press just a few days ago over Helldivers 2.

They didn't get enough bad publicity indeed. At the same time as players of Helldivers 2 reverted their negative reviews to positive Sony proceeded with same tactics on Ghost Of Tsushima.
As Helldivers 2 can't still be bought in 167 countries and territories not included in PSN Sony's alleged U-turn is debatable to say the least.

Well, actually comparatively few have reverted. I think the current negative reviews topped at close to 260k and out of those 221k are still there, but at the same time they've got over 100k positive reviews in the last 6 days, mostly for their partial U-turn.

I looked at some countries and don’t understand, can anyone tell me how PSN works in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia?

I was considering giving my account temporarily to a friend from Croatia so he could buy the game with his Croatian CC, change the region to Croatia and give me back the account. One downside is that I would be locked in that store for 3 months, I believe. An even bigger downside is that I would be seriously risking a perm ban for account sharing and circumventing purchase restrictions.
Not keen to say goodbye to a 13-year-old account with more than 8000 games so I guess this is where the story ends unless Sony makes some changes for my country (which they won't)

I get it, and I know that you already know this, but it’s not worth it. Maybe things will change in the future, but given your current situation, I think it’s best to just wait it out and see what happens.
I am a huge Remedy fan, and naturally, one of my most anticipated games is Alan Wake II. I’ve been waiting for that sequel for over a decade. Unfortunately for me, though, it’s exclusive to Epic Games Store. Will it ever come to Steam? It’s highly unlikely, since Epic Games fully funded the development of the game. My choices are simple: I can either 1) buy it on Epic Games Store, which I refuse to do because all my games are on Steam; 2) pirate it, which I won’t do because it’s not fair to Remedy, my favorite game studio; or 3) just wait. For now, I’m choosing to be patient.

That's correct. Difference would be if you were just traveling. 3 months lock down would still apply (in which you shouldn't buy anything to be absolutely safe), but you wouldn't have to break ToS.
But like ipax11 recommends: just wait. While Sony urgently refunded now to avoid legal consequences, they are surely interested in more sales and thus trying to improve the situation, yet that might take a lot of time. Take advantage of your backlog.

I'm thinking now how hilarious it would be to travel to a different country just to buy the game there and return home the same day. But my CC is a Bosnian CC so I still couldn't buy it for my acc (you need a CC of the country you're in)

It's beyond stupid, and they made that right after the game director of Ghost of Tsushima told to the press that their game doesn't require PSN access for the single player part...
I'm Hungarian, I could buy it - but just out of protest I removed every PS-published game from my wishlist and set them all as "Ignored" after the Helldivers fiasco (and I didn't even plan to ever play Helldivers, it's not my cup of tea).

Why is that game so important that you contemplate doing half-legal things?
Just don't buy it, don't pirate it and spend your time on other more worthy devs/publishers games.

Welcome to New World Order. (It is real thing not joke btw =) )

VPN won't be a problem if it's like 1-2 years ago, until they started the purge for region jumpers that wanted to get cheaper games in cheaper countries, now they are very sensitive about any of it..

I can't really do much at this point except to vent.
Seems like I can't even redeem a key if I purchase it elsewhere or have it gifted (I was just about to buy it later tonight). VPN is something that I'm not familiar with much and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to risk my Steam account because of that. The best thing is that I took a 7 day vacation from work to play the game but that's out of the window now. Just another case of Sony being Sony as usual.
EDIT
I found a Humble Store link but I most likely won't be able to redeem the key so I'm not gonna risk buying it.
