L4D2 vs Killing Floor

I prefer Killing Floor. Lots more guns, lots more variation, lots more hours of fun. Although you aren't technically fighting zombies ;)

Meh, Killing Floor has no Zombies...so you must take Left4Dead when you want to shoot some Zombies...but i prefer the Monsters from Killing Floor :P Gunplay, Maps and more are better at KF...im not such a fan of l4d...dont know why^^have booth games...

They are very different. I love both L4D and KF also (playing it since it was a mod for UT2K4). You should get L4D2 (L4D2 cointains campaigns from original L4D, altough game rules differs a bit) AND KF, really...

Both are good. But KF is better.

I quit KF because I'm bored of it and also refuse to pay for DLC weapons. Fuck that noise.

Picked up L4D2 today and I'm having a blast.

They have different gameplay.

L4D games are more of a coop game and you move forward to finish each stage , finding pills , doing events , killing zombies.

Killing Floor is like an arena shooter.You are in a confined map and there are waves of zombies.Each new wave is harder than the last one and after each wave you go to a shop to buy better guns , armor , grenades , flamethrowers , katanas , grenade launchers , mines etc etc.

L4D2, as said, contains the campaigns from the first one so buy just the 2nd - you can also download lots of very polished maps and very fun to play with friends (with puzzles and stuff) maps online. There's really a lot of content to download for free, number of really professional looking maps/campaigns available makes the game 5-6 times bigger than what you buy. You get the experience (although slightly arcadey) of being in a zombie movie and being a badass survivor. Coop is really fun and really needed (and not only for fire power, there's many types of helping each other). Maps are all thematic - hospital, swamp, farm, New Orleans streets, shopping mall, cemeteries, small towns and much more.
There's also a story of two groups of survivors (they meet at one point as well) and campaigns are actually loosely connected in a story that you find out from their conversation and other in world signs.

KF is basically a tower defence game where instead of building towers you're just shooting at a wave after wave of monsters in hallways, lots of hallways. Yes it can be fun with friends, but then, anything can. Monsters have no AI whatsoever they just run at you. It's an RPG type of thing, but instead of quests you just grind at oncoming enemies, buy more ammo and then shoot again. With friends it's ok fun, without it's awful.

I will never understand these idiotic ''should I get game APPLE or game PINEAPPLE?'' Buy the game YOU want. There is no fucking excuses as there are literally thousands of web pages that have plenty of information about both games. Not counting millions of hours of gameplay on youtube.

GET Zombie bowling. Cause Zombie bowling > Bowling > zombies

KF is by far more fun, in pretty much every aspect. I'm looking forward to the christmas event.... I AM DELICOIOUS !

It also got flamethrowers. There is no better reason to get a game than fucking flamethrowers.

I played both and enjoyed neither. But L4D2 was certainly less bad. Mainly because of the game mode where you get to play as a zombie.

In KF you play as nondescript survivors killing stuff for nondescript reasons. Nothing to keep me interested.
L4D2 tries to make things interesting with the characters, but it backfires. It look less than an hour for me to start despising all 4 of them. It's not very motivating to play a survival game with a character I want to see dead.

Left 4 Dead 2 is obviously better.

L4D2 is ok until you realise it lacks content, I suppose the same goes for Killing Floor but at least it's hard.

Killing Floor gave me much more fun.
