hi - i've created 3 (so far) gifts, the first one the winner confirmed receipt.

the 2nd & 3rd have not yet. (i ssnt the links to the items via their email addresses provided by steamgifts)

as you can imagine this prevents me from creating more gifts (and i have a long list to give away).

what is the protocol for this situation.

what do i do if they never confirm receipt? i have already given the links to them, so selecting another winner wont be possible as the key wont work for that person.

i just want to know because i am very new to all this, and not sure about the rules.

thx in advance

I guess you can add them on steam and ask them if they received the email. Or send them another email letting them know they won.

You can always ask support for more slots too. But you'll probably hear back from your GA winners before support gets around to your ticket. Short on staff and heavy on users y'know?

If i read the rules correctly i think it's up to 7 days before support will do anything about it. Just give it time, i've noticed most people do it within 24-48 hours.

You know it says "not received feedback can only be left after the giveaway has been closed for one week"? Well I imagine that's a good rule to go by for received confirmation as well. I'm new to giveaways as well and much the same, one person confirmed quickly and the other hasn't yet. I wouldn't sweat it.

ok - i understand all that - and its kewl - there's a waiting limit.

but until they have confirmed receipt - and if not - i go through support - they handle it when they can (lets say 2-3 weeks max) - during that time i wont be able to gift anything.

i understand why - cant have scammers etc.

i thought originally that the gift would be sent via this site - so that there is a record of such submission on this site (when needed for support) - and would possibly skip the need for the recipient to 'confirm receipt'.

anyways. just saying :p

Yeah, in the beta you included the key/humble link. I don't think it's possible with gifts.

I believe it is optional. Errbody here got trust issues. But that would make it kind of difficult for re-rolls :P

It works with gifts too, all you have to do is :

So you can send gift via SGV2 new feature too.

It seems no one's given you a proper answer yet. Firstly, as per the site rules, someone has 7 days to send a gift once a giveaway is over before you're allowed to mark it as not received (when you're a winner). This also means, that a recipient has 7 days to mark a win as received. If people don't mark your game as received within 7 days of the giveaways' ending time, you can make a support ticket explaining the matter, preferably with some proof that you sent the game (screenshot of an email / steam chat). Support can mark something as received for you in such cases.

My 2 cents? Add people on Steam, and give them wins through chat, and only once you've established contact (i.e. they respond to you). I never give people wins through email - it's one-way communication. They might be new to the site and not know to mark stuff as received, there might be a language barrier, or they might just be jerks. If you give them stuff through chat, they can't claim they didn't get the game from you, nor is there any doubt as to them receiving / seeing their win (as when you're worried your mail might have gone to their spam folder, for example, or that they simply haven't checked their email). Also, it's easier to make sure they mark it as received.

Furthermore, there's a link on the bottom right of all pages on the site leading to the FAQ, which also has the site / forum / chat rules in it. I know, it doesn't exactly stand out. SGv2 should change that.

Here's a link to the FAQ, for your convenience.

Code blocks can be useful for when you want to use anything that would otherwise be parsed as markdown. Like, when you want to say stuff like

hi there *; without making a code block, the text between these two * would be in italics.
