You've done quite well considering it's your first build. I would pull any slack cables through to the back to make it a little cleaner at the bottom of your motherboard.

Kudos! I know my way round software by now but I'm useless with hardware.
My laptop has been giving me sass with heating issues and I know I need to repaste but I've been putting it off for weeks just at the thought of having to disassemble the whole thing to put one dot of toothpaste on some thingy lol

$300 for an RX 580? That's a massive ripoff. You can get one on ebay for around $100-120. I would have also bought the Lian Li Lancool II case that just came out for $90. It's the best case you can get at that price point.

I thought that RAM was pretty expensive before I realized the price was in AUD. 😳
