Thinking of downloading n64oid on my phone

But I dont know which is a safe apk file. Do you know how I could tell it is safe? I might have bitdefender but I dont want to risk it on my android

There are unsafe ones? I put programs on mine all the time including n64oid and I have never ran into any problems.
